Ericsson's Number Next Year

He wore 2 and then 8 when Hatcher came aboard.

I find it strange that Abdelkader is wearing 8, since I thought that while not retiring his number, his number was like Larry Aurie's and Konstantinov's in that nobody used it out of respect for them. He still has a stall in the locker room, so I figured that his number would be off limits, especially for a youngster like Darth.

Fischer switched back to #2 after Hatcher was bought out.

I'm really confused why Z continued to use that "rookie" #40, when he used #20 all his career until he got to detroit...in 2001/2002 detroit had not signed Lang had they?

Personally, I think Rig should just keep 52 unless he has another number with strong personal meaning.

i think Ericsson will stick with 52 to be honest..

those assigned Rookie numbers are usually in the 60's and 70's arn#t they?

With the year he's having, I'd imagine he just keeps the 52... if not, I'd say 4

I'm waiting to buy my jersey until I know for sure though

The best LW of all time was wearing #20 for Detroit.
