GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 I want to say he didnt play very well in the playoffs and if he signs for 6 mill a season its a bargain and we should sign him under those circumstances...... further more I think you are just full of spite because you cant bring yourself to see the truth that this team is called the Detroit Red Wings......Not the Detroit Hossa's....he did not play like he was all that .. he played hard all year and deserves a offer from a team that he led in scoring ...... HE is NOT the only player that didnt play well and blaming one guy is wrong... I think Ill Blame YOU because the Red Wings didnt win......because you had Bad MOJO against Hossa...It's your fault... Get real Yeah, I'm only blaming one guy. I've blamed about half the team for this loss already so get off my back.
Hockeytown_Ryan 122 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 I will as soon as you quit riding Hoss......all he did was play his ass off like all the other Red Wings...

Do you want me to write a book about every player who played like s***? I probably could but don't have the time. I wouldn't mind seeing anybody on our 3rd and 4th line not come back (other than Helm). If Hossa busted his ass off, then he really sucks, because he didn't seem to be playing with any injury yet still underperformed. A guy with that talent playing hard would score a lot more. Stop making excuses for him.
WingZNut13 99 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 I've been saying for a while...Hossa isn't going anywhere. He is going to be here next season. For everyone who hates him....get over it. We will only know with time and yall blaming him for losing the cup is flat out crazy. The whole team didn't play well. All we can do is wait for the offseason. QUIT BITCHING!!! (but i bet it was all Hossa's Fault there too) Hossa is a top 10 in the NHL......if you dont want him on your team, Then Im glad your not MY GM ...

Well ok then You never liked him to begin with.....so why show up and just throw s*** into the fan... your opinion is noted......no need to kick a dead HOSS Youll get your wish and hell leave so what is your big issue with it all If he were to take 6 mill to stay and lead my team in Offense...Yeah Id sign him.... We'd have more cap problems and our young guys would be in GR all year again to hamper their development. Time to get rid of some cap space. If I remember correctly, we've won the Cup without Hossa but have never won with him. He's not really an absolute necessity that we can't live without. SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 I'd like the Wings to re-sign him. I get that playoffs are about results, production, blah blah blah. Overall, Hossa didn't produce much. However, a 7-game series or 1 playoff series is a really small sample size to critique a player. Not saying that Hossa shoudln't be critiqued but if we're going to get on his case for 1 season alone, then you can just as easily do the same for pretty much any NHLer that has played in a playoff series without the desired outcome. Yzerman didn't always have productive playoff seasons whenever the Wings bowed out early, Fedorov as well, etc. Hossa is still a helluva player and I'd like to see him back. RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 If Hossa dosent resign a few guys I wouldnt mind the Wings takin a look at Brain Gionta- guy can dish the puck Mike Cammalleri- Nice season with 39 goals plus he is a ceter, cant hurt to have another guy also taking faceoffs Marian Gaborik- Prolly wont make the 6.5 he made wiht Minnesota since he has had injury probs but still a hell of a player Mike Comrie- nice skater good hands and another guy who is good at faceoffs Chris Neil- not a scorer but guy is tough as s***. Nice 4th line addition Sedin twins- Cant have both but if you want a scorer Daniel, you want the play maker Henrik That's pretty much the pick of the litter in this years free agent pool. If no Hossa all would get less money than Hossa except maybe Cammalleri who had a great year with Calgary.
Jessica 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 You guys are pathetic. Go take some Xanax and come back when you've calmed down a bit. Edit: I think I'll come back when all the fairweather fans and hysteria have departed. I can't agree more!!!
Trapt1307 81 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 The thing is, if you re-sign Hossa, you pretty much cement yourself as a contender for the next five years, with a forward core of Franzen, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hossa, and Filppula. The problem is, you have little wiggle room to do much else, so if it doesn't work out, you're pretty much screwed. You never know though with Wings scouting, the way they bring in these cheap players and they end up fitting right in. Whatever ends up happening with Hossa, I'm confident that the Wings will be right back where we want them to be very soon.

The twins will always play together, that's like one of their rules, they will always play on the same team and the same line. So if you want Henrik you must sign daniel too, and that's about 12M$... So if you want Henrik you must sign daniel too, and that's about 12M$... one day they are going to have to split up. I highly doubt if one team wants to play daniel 8 mill a season he wont turn down a contract because his brother didn't get a contract from the team. I just threw up options. If Hossa goes else where I would like either Comrie or Neil

If Hossa goes else where I would like either Comrie or Neil Hossa took less to play here so its not always about the money...i am quite sure their family ties and enjoyment of playing together will win out over salary. Hell maybe if they are broken up they are horrific out there Edited June 15, 2009 by OsGOD
