Yzerman put together pretty much the same team anyone would have.

They have more gritty players than any other team.

That was end-to-end excitement for the entire 60 minutes. This is exactly why the NHL cannot omit themselves from the Olympics in the future.

If there's a fatal flaw, it's putting Thorton and Marleau on the roster. The US did earn that one, but it's only one game. Canada didn't even hit their stride until the semi-finals in 2002.

Like Third Man In said, the biggest mistake is putting Marleau and Thornton on your team because those two can't do anything but choke.
