legaleaglewingsfan 75 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Anyone else see the yote fan flip off the guys tossing the octopi as they were being escorted out? Stood in their way and yelled like a good while proudly displaying his middle finger which could I guess also be his IQ level. On a more hockey related note the yotes look frustrated, hope they remain that way but not to the point they injure one of our guys. 1 2guns reacted to this
titanium2 867 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 We Wings fans hear that word way too much. But anyways, did anyone else hear the guy on the PA say that if you throw items on to the ice that you will be ejected from the arena? Hehe.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 OH NOES! Someone flipped a Wings fan the finger! What is the world coming to?!?!?!?!?!? You don't think a Wings fan has at any time flipped the bird to a fan of a rival team? 3 Drake_Marcus, 55fan and 8 Legged RedWing reacted to this

NBCnothingbutcrosby 159 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Before the octopus was thrown, a few minutes before actually. I noticed everyone sitting infront of the camera was standing and facing the right corner as if something in the stands was going on... anyone know what it was -- or see this? Travis 576 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 I'll totally agree that the Coyotes look frustrated, though I didn't see the guy-who-discovered-hockey-last-month tossing the bird. I don't know that it'll carry over to Game 6, but here's hoping. Aucoin looked like a punk at the end of the game.

But anyways, did anyone else hear the guy on the PA say that if you throw items on to the ice that you will be ejected from the arena? Hehe. This is a league rule. The first time objects are thrown on the ice, an announcement must be made (and the thrower ejected). All further incidents result in minor a penalty to the team. This came about due to the whole Florida rat thing. The only exception is hats for the hat trick. Edited April 24, 2010 by Datsyerberger

NBCnothingbutcrosby 159 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Yeah me and my brother were watching together. We figured there was a fight in the stands or something. Thats the same corner those 3 Red Wings fans have been sitting, the huge bald guy with the gotee in the red jersey they always show on breaks etc. I hope he beat the piss out of some coyotes fan if that's the case. Vladiator 116 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Umm has there ever been a penalty assessed for throwing stuff on the ice against the home team??? I remember the rat thing with the Panthers but I don't recall if a penalty was ever called.
Carman 387 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 It's clear to me that you are in fact, a penguins fan ?? Because I posted an example of another team's fan that acted like a jackass? And Penguin's have been my second favorite team since I started watching hockey, only recently has it actually become a dilemma. Don't see how that has to matter in this thread though. 3 Dano33, Barrie and Uncle Danny reacted to this

webwing91 4 Report post Posted April 24, 2010 Just something I've been wondering... if someone threw a bunch of snakes on to the ice at the Joe... would you guys be upset at all? It seems that most of you think that would be great, and honestly how it should be. I don't know. Completely understandable when it is at your own arena, gets the fans in a great mood, and everybody going. But opposing arenas, of course people will get mad at you. They're drunk and they just had a hugely deflating and upsetting loss. Not a big deal either way, got to remember it is just a game. And the finger is really no big deal, now the guy in Columbus last year, that punched a Wings fan... that's over the line.
