Maybe a 58-win season could get him on the All-Star ballot next year. <_<

Jimmy howards point totals aren't where they need to be, but I'm glad to see he has quite the physical edge. Normally I'd go with Lidas or Datsyuk, but even though Jimmy might be lacking in the secondary scoring, his other stats are eye poppin'.

Er... you thinking of Juwan Howard?

For us to win our division and be a legit threat in the playoffs, Henrik Z. has to be up there by the end of the season.

Z might not be scoring like he use to but he is setting up Flip very nicely lately.

Without a doubt the MVP for this team is Howard. Without him the Wings would fighting to stay the eighth spot IMO.

Easily Howard.

And that's the first time I can say this about any Wings goalie.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

James Tiberius Howard, everybody. Like a baws.

Datsyuk and Lidstrom have also been playing their guts out, White's been a great surprise, and Filppula has definitely taken it up a notch. Also, I wouldn't give them year-long MVP awards, but lately Miller and Zetterberg have been playing better, which I'm really glad to see.

The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Lidstrom. What he brings to the team is truly unmeasurable, but I'm going to bet it's the most important element in the team.

i think a special mention should go to Drew Miller, he is having a great year and babs is rewarding him too with his mins going up.
in fact i believe he is well on course for a career year, one of the unsung guys on the team that most average fans tend to miss the
work he does.
"What are you guys doing?" Reggie Dunlop
"Putting on the foil coach" Jeff Hanson
"Yeah, every game, you want some coach?" Steve Hanson
"Er, no. No thanks guys." Reggie Dunlop
"Make sure they don't leave the bench!" Reggie Dunlop.

James Tiberius Howard

That nickname needs to stick! +1
"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Howard. Playing like this all year and he gets a trophy, one way or another.

Playing better than I thought they would:

Howard is the man at this point obviously.

Datsyuk deserves lots of recognition as well... especially if you take the first 15-16 games away. He is probably at a 1.5ppg pace or something.

Its a landslide...Howard of course
Flip has been pretty awesome at both ends of the ice and would be my runner up, given how far he has come this year!

I think Quick might give Howie a run for his money on that.
