Red Wings Alumni lineup

I really interested to see the Lineup the Red Wings will bring out. My dream lineup for the game which I know wont be completey accurate.

1st Line-Hull,Yzerman,Shanahan

2nd line-Fedorov,Larionov, Kozlov

3rd line-Brown,Sheppard,Oates

4th line(Grind Line)-Maltby,Draper,McCarty

...

Defense

1st-Lidstrom(if retired) or Schneider, Murphy

2nd-Rafalski,Chelios

3rd-Coffey,Fetisov

Goalies

Osgood, Hasek,Cheveldae

coach

scotty bowman

I don't see Fedorov being apart of it know his relationship with the organization and his contract with the KHL. Same goes with Kozlov with his KHL contract. The rest seem like they could all play unless working for the NHL prevents Shanahan, and working for NHL teams pervents Bowman, Yzerman, and Oates

My realistic attempt...

Howe. Larionov. Hull

Verbeek. Lindsay. Ogrodnick.

Redmond. Brown. Ciccerreli

Klima. Burr. Kocur

Murphy. Ward

Fischer. Duschene

Dandenault. M.Howe

Vernon

Chevaldae?

Would like to see Fetisov and Kozlov.

Doubt the recently retired play. If one does it would probably be McCarty.

Haha looking forward to this one. Now that Drapes retired, I wonder if they can get the grindline back together for this event! Although I'm not too sure if Stevie Y would be part of it due to being a busy GM and all, it'd be awesome to have him be part of this as well!

I think the Tampa ownership will understand.

I think seeing the grind line is almost for sure. Howe and Redmond are also pretty much guarantees i think.

*edit* It would be funny to see cujo play one period for each team.

The grind liners (both Kocur and McCarty) almost have to be there, and Ozzie as well. Murph and Mickey seem obvious (maybe Paul Woods too). Howe, Fisch, Cheli, and probably a few from the alumni association. And I would sure hope the Captain can do it, wouldn't seem right without him. Shanny as well...

Mickey-Stevie-Shanny

Ogrodnick-Igor-Dino

Maltby-Draper-Mac

Burr-Brown-Kocur

Howe-Murph

Fisch-Cheli

Larson-Norwood

Ozzie

Mio

That would be awesome...

Any big Wings historians on here willing to make an extensive list of who can play? Which is pretty much anyone who is alive and proud to wear the winged wheel, no matter how short the duration. I think VM1138? is a big Wings historian. I'd make one myself but someone borrowed my version of the book, "What it means to be a Red Wing." Btw, great book that probably every Wings fan should have.

No love for Norm Maracle, Phillipe Audet, or Stacy Roest?

Serious question. Would Shanny even be allowed to compete since he's working for the league? I would see absolutely no problem with it. But you never know if some exec on another team would cry favoritism.

The Grinders is a no-brainer. Ozzie, of course. Stevie and Shanny, if they can get a break from other activities, would be good. Fisch, Cheli, maybe Mathieu Dandenault (sorry, I like him), Joe Kocur, I'd love to see Igor Larionov. Who knows?

The Leafs alumni line-ups always end up with a handful of guys that force you to do HockeyDB searches to find out when they played their 5 games for the Leafs.

But hoping to see Gilmour, Sundin, Clark, Roberts, et al.

CuJo and Potvin in net.
