Weird not seeing the Wings finish off the regular season with a home-and-home against Chicago.
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

Yay, now I can start planning my trips up to Dallas.

2 games against Winnipeg this year? Interesting.

The Canadiens are coming in on January 30th! I went to the last game the Candiens came into the Joe and it was a blast. The crowd was amazing!

I hear the Leafs are playing near Detroit in early January as well.

Pittsburgh, New Jersey and Winnipeg are the three teams from the East we have a home/home with.

- Not a single weekend afternoon game played at home and only 3 in total, including including the Winter Classic. Approved.

- A grand total of 4 Saturday games. Not approved.

- Preds/Nucks/Sharks to start outta the gate. Ughh.

GODDAMMIIT! ONLY one trip out here next year, Feb 21 at the Prudential Center. No trips to MSG or the Island. I might have to stoop to going to Philly to see them.

The new schedule, before the Draft? Another cog in the new, improved(?) "Uncle Gary Bargaining Machine".

Not really. We were the top team in the league for the past two seasons during October-January, only to stumble for the rest of the season and an early playoff exit.

Might actually be able to see them in Tampa if I plan a well timed holiday to see my girlfriend's grandparents in November... that would be sweet :) would be my first Wings game! Although my second Bolts one >_>

I didn't even bother to check what day they were on, because I'm going either way. But that means I only have to take one day off work. Sweet!

Only one game in the Northeast?! And it's a Thursday night, why couldn't they begin the new League format this year?!

Anyone see that mad chunk of home games? Like 6-8 games in a row. That time frame will be a key to getting some ground in the points race in my opinion. Get rollin' on all cylinders!
