nyqvististhefuture 1,002 Report post Posted May 23, 2013 now that patrick roy is coach of colorado alot of people are saying hes gonna try and convince people to draft mckinnon or drouin since he coached the quebec league even though they need a defensemen and want seth jones what if we traded brendan smith and tomas tatar in the off season for matt duchene ?? that might make them more inclined to say draft mckinnon? probably wont happen for both sides and i like what smith is doing but my thinking is we got sproul ouellet backman almquist marchenko coming up and we have ericsson kronwall dekeyser kindl lashoff quincey now duchene was a 3rd overall pick but hasnt yet really exploded as of yet but i think babcock would do wonders , anyways just an idea ... cant see them trading landeskog and i wouldnt want ryan oreilly or stastny from colorado

Guest The Axe Report post Posted May 24, 2013 We spend 3-5 years getting Kindl to #3 Dman, Emmerton to 4th line center/pk specialist, and Nyquist to 3rd line winger. And you think we are going to trade them now as they enter into their prime? Are you high? 2 freshy and Z Winged Dangler reacted to this

And you think we are going to trade them now as they enter into their prime? Are you high? It's not hard to find a 4th line PK specialist. Nyquist and Kindl are different. Although I wish Kindl would play like he's 6'3 sometimes.

LeftWinger 5,130 Report post Posted May 24, 2013 I say let Patrick screw it up. If they don't draft Jones then Patrick and Joe have already put one nail in their coffins. They just better hope that Chicago is the hammer pounding that nail...

Son of a Wing 1,644 Report post Posted May 24, 2013 To Detroit: Steve Downie Chuck Kobasew Shane O'Brien To Colorado: Gustav Nyquist Cory Emmerton Jakub Kindl Quite the detailed reply. Care to, if possible, elaborate more? Yikes you must be serious.... Downie - missed all but 2 games with a major knee injury. O'Brien - couldn't even stick as a regular on the LAST PLACE team in the conference. Kobasew - UFA who garnered a whopping 9 points. I repeat...UFA. In return you're offering 3 young red wing players who seem to all be having breakout years. I don't think you put a speck of logical thought into this and are severely clouded by your obvious desire to add some "enforcement" to the team. 2 PavelValerievichDatsyuk and ogreslayer reacted to this
