Euro_Twins 4,477 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 vs. Start time: 7:30 EST Joe Louis Arena - Detroit, MI Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco Miller-Andersson-Cleary Porter-Weiss-Callahan Abdelkader-Nosek-Nestrasil Wow, not a lot of high end talent there, I don't know what Babs has against Weiss, why is he on the third line again? At least it's still slightly better than that second line *barfs*
RedWang 422 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Lol Stephen "Step-Child" Weiss. 3rd line center on our weakest roster we could throw together.
Jesusberg 1,256 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) I'm not sure those lines necessarily reflect ice time, but I guess we'll see. The Nose line had a heck of a game the other day, so I could see them getting some more time. On a side note, I like that Cally's getting plenty of games in. It means they're at least giving him a good look, I think. From the Khan article for today's game: Defensemen Jonathan Ericsson and Brendan Smith did not skate today due to groin/hip flexor issues. They are listed as day-to-day. Smith was supposed to play tonight. Now he'll be replaced. These five defensemen skated in the gameday group: Xavier Ouellet-Alexei Marchenko Aaron Rome-Nick Jensen Ryan Sproul So Sproul is healthy enough to play? I'd wager Backman takes Smith's spot and plays with Sproul, as has been the case during most of TC and the preseason. That's basically GR's defense core, outside of Paetsch and Evans (and minus Rome). Edited September 29, 2014 by Jesusberg 1 krsmith17 reacted to this

themcityblues 249 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) I think those top two lines are awesome. Really, I do. Except maybe Cleary doesn't really fit on that line? (well, where does his fit, exactly?) I guess my point is that our #1 line tonight is sick young talent and I like the combo of andersson/miller. I am excited to see the bottom two lines since I know nothing about them Weiss on the third line is absolutely hilarious. Maybe the staff knows that Weiss just isn't that good. jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Its on fsd. I'm honestly super excited for this game... We get to watch the reunited kid line, see how well Weiss is coming along, we get to see the nose line which by all reports has been doing well, we get to see Callahan probably in a larger role, plus we get to see how cleary knees are doing.. Not to mention mrazek is starting and playing two full periods. Even if we get messed up, that's a lot of regulars for the leafs and our best line is generally going to be our third line(hopefully). I'm just excited hockeys back and being televised again... 1 Hey man nice shot! reacted to this
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Hockey on FSD and several key players on the Wings' roster injured. Why, it's just like regular season hockey!
derblaueClaus 1,668 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 My understanding of the lines combo is that they are not a sign of mistrust against Weiss or other player on the bottom lines but more a test for the first two lines. Babs just wants to see what the Kids line and our likely regular season 4th line can do. Hence he plays them more often. If he does that is.

drumnj 459 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Hey folks...I'm still around for those wondering. Season preview that FSD made a couple weeks ago will start in 5 minutes. I should have that along with the Rookie Camp Wingspan recorded and on youtube at some point. I'm hoping to be more productive with pre and post game recordings this season as I started last season, but ran into some issues. 1 WorkingOvertime reacted to this
