And Holland's philosophy has generally been using a value goaltender who's "good enough" so he can spend money elsewhere. The difference these days is there's no Lidstrom on the blueline and that money isn't really getting spent elsewhere. Which isn't to say a Vezina/Hart trophy soon-to-be-winner should be the standard, obviously. I just mean that this team is skilled enough to win it all, but they're inconsistent.
