kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Pavel Datsyuk edition Awesome video. Check it out. https://amp.twimg.com/v/c9501dd4-726d-4524-9104-3b29c8e46894 A bit about Datsyuk's story and also many moments in this video (his young days and current days) we all got to witness live for 13 years . The background music at 3:50 gave me butterflies lol. Edited December 14, 2015 by kickazz 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this

jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Ha. You'd think after so many years being in another country, you'd have to make a concerted effort not to learn the language to stay as bad as he is at it. Such a bad ass.
sputman 1,268 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 He can score so many different ways. Sooooo skilled.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Ha. You'd think after so many years being in another country, you'd have to make a concerted effort not to learn the language to stay as bad as he is at it. Such a bad ass. Hasek never learned English. I loved him for that. Datsyuk will have no equal - some will be better at other things, but his skills - like those of other NHL savants - cannot be taught. 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 I saw this video on twitter yesterday. It gives you chills to see some of the great moves and Datsyukian dekes. For me the Jaw dropper is that floated goal over the Blackhawks goalie
BottleOfSmoke 5,965 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 I've always surmised just from random factoids and from people who have met him that he is better at English than what comes across in interviews.

Bill Berzeench 310 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Most complete hockey player the world has seen (minus slap shot) Pavel has a good slapshot too. Dont kid yourself. He just doesnt use it often.
kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Pavel has a good slapshot too. Dont kid yourself. He just doesnt use it often. Not really. It's a very inaccurate slap shot with a poor form. Which is why he doesn't use it. He's never quartered the PP in his 13 years for the same reason.
Bill Berzeench 310 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 Every time you wonder why we dont go after a guy like Kessel or a guy like Semin, watch a video like this and remember that the Wings have character. The Wings do it like Duke Mitchell - right.

PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 For me, the best, most revealing Datsyuk interview is still the one he did with Mitch Albom in 2009: http://allallan.blogspot.ca/2009/04/heartfelt-pavel-datsyuk.html Talks about losing his mom early and his path to the NHL. RyanBarnes! 293 Report post Posted January 27, 2016 Wish I understood the language. Wonder what Z said about him there at 20 min.He said that he's been fortunate to play with one of the best players in the world (Datsyuk) for his entire career, and then he said that Datsyuk know this is swedish television, so he will say the "right things" and what they want to hear (laughs). Then the reporter ask about his role in the success of Datsyuk to which he replys "not much at all to be honest, he would have won those awards without me" (laughs again). 3 kickazz, NerveDamage and krsmith17 reacted to this
