This is a topic that seems to come in on this board all the time, and I thought it was worth of its own thread. Plus, I very interested in the results of the poll.

My question is this: On ice, which player has been the most instrumental to the success of the Blackhawks in this 2010-Present run?

Toews is the captain for a reason.  That team would not win without him.  Keith is a close 2nd.  He's a stud.  Seabrook and Kane are a level below.

But we all know Scotty Bowman is the most important Blackhawk.

Ever since Toews had his temper tantrum in the playoffs against us in 2013, which led to Seabrook having to come over to him and calm him down, I have been under the impression that guys like Keith and Seabrook are the one's truly leading the team. I'm sure Toews has his moments, but that exposed his safety net on a very large stage.

That was 4 years ago. I think he's grown up a bit since then.

I'm sure he has, but what it showed me is that a guy like Seabrook is underappreciated as ALL the media attention goes to Toews.

Hmpff.. It is Semi-blasphemy I suppose but ok. It's Duncan Keith. He is their general. Irreplaceable. It is easy to see, pay attention to their power play in particular. He is also matched heavily against top lines and defends them with honor. Great player.

Kane could have held the title but he has been cold this season. Which I don't mind at all.

I'd agree with you there. I voted Seabrook. I think losing him would hurt more than the rest of the options.

You know he is 2nd in the NHL in points with 45. Though compared to last year that is cold.

Ok, who voted other? And did you or did you not mean bread boy with that vote?

The only other person I could think of would be Crawford. I didn't include him since they had Niemi for the first cup.

Toews isn't even 30 and he's resembling 2004 Steve yzerman. People who voted for him are so out of touch.

What a joke post lol. I'm sure you think those leadership intangibles had more to do with their success than their on ice talent

You have gotten a bit more clever since your Bill days, though its just a matter of time until you get banned. I see how in your last post you were able to take a jab at the pro Towes crowd, but then in the second half take a jab at the me for criticizing him. A way to troll everyone is one post I guess. Keep trying.
