This thread is about Chelly, and I don't want to turn this into another Holland thread, but the next 2 months will illustrate the future of this team. With Mr. I passing, missing the playoffs for the first time in a quarter century, and the expansion looming, there will be huge opportunity to readjust this team and alter our approach. If Chris and Ken want to shakeup the team, the next two months is the time to do it. If they don't, I'm sure there will be a mid-July Holland gripe fest you can jump in on.

All kinds of threads turn into Holland gripe-fests around here, because he's the major issue with the franchise stuck in time. The damn Pens beat the Wings back to the Finals, and may just repeat unless Rinne wakes up again. They lost roster players all playoffs and still found ways to win with replacements. Detroit has moved past the first round twice since '09, while they still had a pretty good team until 2013 or so. Unacceptable.

But yes, it's a Chelly thread. Good luck to him.

Yeah and all of those things have nothing to do with Chelios. Maybe if he trained our D better...?

"Brooks notes that concern over stagnant revenue will likely lead to the PA appointing Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios as a special ombudsman in preparation for upcoming collective bargaining agreement negotiations. The players can opt out of the current CBA prior to the 2019-2020 season. There is also the idea of creating a committee of active players to support the union, but this would not constitute a challenge to NHLPA president Donald Fehr."

Somehow Hollands fault...

Chelly must be popular among players. Theyre literally creating a position for him. Crack some skulls Chris!

Maybe if he had defensemen to work with. When Danny DeKeyser is your "top" Dman and is putting pucks in his own net, hard to do much.

DD is fine on the team, just not in a top role. Ouellet, and Jensen are solid. Sproul has a lot of potential, but hasn't shown much at the NHL level. Could show up still. The rest, couldn't care less. They're gone or should be gone for various reasons.

Ah so Chelly DID have some D men to work with then?

Aaaaaaand... he's back

Wanted to explore the option of working with the PA but had to resign first so there wasn't a conflict of interests.  Decided it wasn't a good fit so he's back in his old position.

Of course! Holland just loves re-acquiring his players. PSH! Same old Holland.. terrible management.

Chelly, what did you hope to explore there? I was obvious you do not fit with these corrupted POS Fuhr brothers and their gang.
