Explain to me who you think we should take at #8 so I can tell you youre wrong and shill for Gleb Trikozov.

Gleb has more potential than anyone in this draft. He is the Mo Seider of this draft. Will end up as #1 in a redraft. Gleb dominates the O zone. Wicked shot, precision passing, holds the puck well and buys time, his forecheck is aggressive and his agility and edgework allow him to change direction on a dime and cut into scoring areas. But his biggest asset is his vision. The thing you cant train. And this is why SY will shock the world (again) and take him at 8. This guy is proccessing the game at a veteran superstar level.  He is creativity and anticipation. Think Datsyuk or Larionov.

His knocks are compete level (the old russian trope) and being Russian. This wont scare SY away after his expierence playing with Russians in Detroit.

This team wants Gleb. It needs Gleb. Im putting my official stamp on Gleb 2022.

Get Glebbed nerds.

The 2nd most offensively productive MHL player of all time. 2nd only to Nikita Kucherov. Well ahead of Panarin at the same age.

One of the youngest players in this draft. Wont be 18 until August. At the begining of this MHL season he was an impact player. By the end of it he was a superstar. All of his faults at the begining of the year can be explained by his extreme youth. Barely 17. But hes learning and growing quickly. 6 more months of hockey and hed be a top 3 pick.

Hes ranked highest at ding ding ding #8 by smahthockey. Just like Seider his stock is rising leading into the draft.

Gleb has more superstar potential than anyone not named Wright.

Trikozov looks like a hell of a prospect but teams are going to be afraid of Russian players even more this year then in past years. I just mentioned in another thread that SY needs to find a Kucherov level prospect beyond R1.....

This kid will be our R2 40oa pick and become our Kucherov2.0.

FWIW I wouldnt mind at all if Yzerman took him at 8oa.

SY fears nothing. Folks said the same thing about Seider b4 the draft.

Gleb loves to play offense. He is the best transition players out there. He loves to recieve the puck in the D zone, carry it through the neutral zone, and carry it into the O zone. No soft dumps in the corner. His instincts and skating allow him to carry pucks through contested areas safely. Once in the O zone he doesnt like to leave without scoring. He creates time and space by protecting the puck, and can pass or shoot. He has easily the best wrister in this draft class. If the D recovers the puck he forechecks hard and effectively to extend his O zone time. This kid absolutely doe not want to play D if he doesnt have to.

Id trade the 8th overall for Buffalos 16th and 28th, plus maybe more. Take Gleb at 16. Lamoureux at 28. But maybe we just Seider it and take him at 8.

Im Glebbing again.

Word is Glebs agent is a very anti-Russia guy. This bodes well for him coming to NA.

We would probably have to stick him in GR for a few seasons as hes so young and raw. Hes probably the least NHL ready of all the potential 1st rounders, but the trade off is he probably also has the highest cieling long term. If we commit to patience with him he could be our Kucherov.

Im starting to Gleb, as well.  Seider his ass, then Kucherov the shet out of him.

Savoie @ 8, either trade up for Gleb or get him early in round 2. Yzerman gets his Point and Kucherov.

If Gleb is still there in the late twenties Stevie needs to make this happen.

I don't see Gleb listed for the combines.    Scroll right to the bottom for schedule
