So, do we sell now? We could actually get better by subtraction honestly.

Perron

Holl

Fabbri

Sprong

Veleno

Maatta

...sit Petry

...depending on who you acquire or promote, we could still make the playoffs and make some noise. A lot of the better D-Men are gone already, but there's upgrades out there still. I certainly hope Kane still wants to stay after this dismal week. After the last few games, I think it's important that we keep Berggren now. Unless he can get us a 25-27 year old D that we desperately need. No "rentals" unless they're extending.

0-3 with the defacing of the jersey.

We need to trade that patch for a bag of pucks.

Sell Ghost and Sprong b4 EOD tomorrow. Use Eddogg/Holl to replace Ghost, and Berggren to replace Sprong. Then hope for the best.

Just like last year, you dont drop 3 in a row going into the deadline as a bubble team. Regards dont get rewards.

Another Minnesota year on the books. Minnetroit Wild Wings.

Fun observation from the trade frenzy yesterday. Anybody notice how no top end prospects were moved in any of the major deals? That's something to keep in mind next year when you hear people saying "the ask will be a 1st and Danielson/ASP/Edvinsson/Kasper/etc.". No teams trade that top prospects.

Byram is an NHL regular. He's played 146 games in the NHL across four seasons, and were it not for concussions issues would have played more. He's not a prospect.

Oh, yeah I guess the top young players dont get traded

I have an answer, but I want to hear your thoughts first.

I dunno man. Hard to say. All I know is that Bowen Byram isn't one because he hasn't played in any other league aside from the NHL in over two years.

Pretty much everyone thinks that in order to win the Stanley Cup you have to have "elite prospects" right? But do you really? I was just thinking about Bowen Byram. Almost everyone agrees that he's one of the two or three best defensemen in his draft year. The elite of the elite. And pretty much everyone agrees that defense is a really really important position right? So for 2 seasons we had the best player at an extremely important position. So why did he get traded The knee jerk reaction for most people might be "maybe he was on a bad team". But he wasn't. He never missed the playoffs and he played the majority of his career with other legendary players. He was also only concussed a few times. So why traded?

Smartest thing you've ever posted here. It's like you found a whole new level intellectually. I dunno, you just seem much, much, MUCH, smarter on this post. Better looking too. I don't know what it is.

Weekes talking about a 3way deal that would send Guenztel to Van. Lindholm to boston. And DeBrrusk to the Pens.

Joel Edmundson seems to be a sudden hot commodity now.

and is now a Leaf....
