In a good way or a bad way? Everything I've seen has him projected between $8.5-9.5m. I personally believe Yzerman will get him in on the lower end maybe even slightly below the floor but $9m is definitely within range.

This is why you dont let soy boys coach. Seriously, what's he going to say to (5) guys taking up 60% of the cap that are built for Womens Hockey and 18 guys wondering why they're not playing more. Those players haven't been listening since they turned 15 years old. If I was the Leafs coach, I'd play Marner at Defense with Reilly, and play Matthews-Tavares-Nylander at forward. Play those (5) 35 Minutes a night basically distributing the minutes per salary. Then maybe Tavares and Marner would take some deals that make a little more sense. We made the same mistake overpaying Debrincat that Toronto is making with their soy boys. The guy is a power play specialist that offers very little in the way of 5 on 5 play. That doesn't go a long way in the playoffs. You need to have 3rd and 4th lines that can grind in goals once the playoffs start. The Drapers, Browns, Maltbys, and McCartys make the difference once you hit May. But if you pay players 11 mil a year, it's tough to justify playing them 14 minutes a night. Toronto needs to let go of Tavares and Marner this offseason and pick up some guys that can do dirty work in the playoffs. They won't though. SAME OLD MAPLE LEAFS. Because he only put up 28pts in the bottom6 last season making a whopping $850k and hes probly gonna demand a raise of around $600k. Yzerman is known to hate these hard working grinding type players he prefers players with more skill like Zadina and Berggren. 3 1 Scott R Lucidi, AtlantaHotWings, Akakabuto and 1 other reacted to this

But we'd definitely need to shed some cap before this can happen! If we dealt Husso, I'd even try to sign Samsonov from Toronto. No doubt they are looking for changes! Top 6 Bertuzzi - Larkin - Raymond Kane - Domi - DeBrincat Top 4 Walman - Seider Edvinsson - Andersson G's Samsonov Lyon You'd still get younger by having Berggren, Edvinsson, Johansson on the team. How would 2 losers from another underachieving Maple Leafs team improve this team in any significant way? 10 hours ago, Jimmybigrigs69 said: Why would Veleno be moving on? He isn't.
