He hasn't lit up the AHL yet. I really doubt he's on the roster to start the reason. But will fight to be #1 callup im sure. I really dont care how far removed someone is from their draft. Plus, he only has a year left, it'd be unfortunate to give up the price to have him walk next summer. Although he's technically a hometown kid (Windsor) and might be living a dream by playing in Detroit. Very curious to see what it would cost. I don't know what you're on about with this "bending to the will of his employer" bit. Rags are fully within their rights to trade him. And yes, part of being a pro athlete is going to where you are traded and making the apropriate decisions and arrangements for your family in lieu of that. Trouba's not in a unique circumstance.
