I am not an idiot, I know that the chances of winning this series are slim. However, why should that prevent us from being as loud as possible? This is our team, and we love them dearly. So my challenge to those who are going to game 4, be as loud, and crazy as possible! Lets do those "JIMMY, JIMMY" or "HOWIE, HOWIE" chants, chant for Lids, we may witness his last game ever. We have had a hell of a season so far, and ITS NOT OVER YET!! Lets show this team, and Lids, and Howie, and everyone else how much we appreciate them. LETS ******* RIOT, and take game 4! LGW!

    put ozzy in, now?

Don't put Ozzie in now to take the hit for the series loss. Howard is the guy that got us here, and he needs to see it through to the finish.

    put ozzy in, now?

I would have to say to put ozzy in and give him a try. Our chances of winning this series is extremely low, and we mine as well test out osgood. If I was babs, I would play him!

Why The Wings can win this series

Although many of you will disagree with a thought of winning this series, the Wings are the only team in the NHL that I believe can pull off a 3-0 comeback. They would be the 3rd in history to do such and hopefully this is there year. History will have to be made in order for this to occur. The reason I believe the wings can pull this off is the they have not been outplayed in any of the games in this series. All of the games were lost on late mental mistakes by both Howard and the defense. The wings HAVE to go with a 1 game at a time mentality, otherwise the series is over. What will have to happen: Babcock will have to control the emotions of the team Howard will have to make big saves all game The defense HAS to tighten up Stop the sharks pp and ignite our offense on our PP's Ref's will have to put there whistles away, no bs calls Wings HAVE to capitalize on the sharks mistakes Smart decisions when on the ice Get more pucks on net Get into Nabbies's head Star players have to play great No giving up when down Now there are plenty of other things that will have to occur, but the wings must start there. Lets Go Wings!

This isn't really a good analogy. Steve's role on the team had been diminishing rapidly for two or three seasons before he retired; he was still a good player when he left (you might remember he went on a great run from December of the '06 season and into the playoffs where he certainly didn't look like 40 year old with a bum knee) but was already well on his way to being replaced, and very adequately so, but Datsyuk and Zetterberg. No other defenseman on the team is as good as Lidstrom; few defensemen in the league, even today, are as good as Lidstrom. He is the motor that powers the big red machine, and he does it on all fronts. I don't believe his departure will be the end of the Wings -- far from it -- but it will be unlike anything most Wings fans have yet experienced.

All of them are the reason we're down 3-0. You win as a team, you lose as a team. The refs definitely aren't helping. And blaming Crosby is fun, no matter what it's for, so throw him in too.

    Free Agent Wish List

Volchenkov is my favorite non-Wing D-man besides Doughty. That would be amazing to have him. I wish Rafalski preferred warm weather so we could just ship him out already though. I would never sacrifice defence for a little bit of offence on the back end. We have been bad defensively and it is hurting us this year. I would rather see our D-man's production go down but be a lot more solid in our own end. Jut my opinion.

    maybe, just maybe

this year the sharks are trying to top themselves and become the 3rd biggest choke artist of all time. With their history of choking in the playoffs it would only seem right that they would blow a 3-0 lead that would eventually lead to the team being torn apart in the off-season. will it happen? probly not but as wings fan why not be as optimistic as possible with nothing to lose.

Ville Leino was practically a heavyweight enforcer, due to the time spent in the super tough Finnish League.

See where yer going with this. And yah I agree. Waiting till it's over to mourn a season. But if a loss happens, I won't regret 1 second of it That's my team. Win or lose. So until the chubby chick sings. I'll hang in there but if she Does I'll sit and listen.

Why is Howard still in the net?

Win or lose stick with Howard! Adversity only makes people stronger, let Jimmy take his lumps and get playoff experience. Sometimes a team needs to think long term, and this one of those times. Keep Ozzie on the bench.

Just about the only thing he hasn't done is lead a team down 0-3 to a series win ...

For those of us going to game 4..

Win or lose, I'm still a fan, they're still my team. Make it loud! If they win, glory in it. If they lose, show them why Detroit still has the best fans around!

As a Sharks fan and a long time member of The Feeder/Let's Go Sharks site, let me start by saying (in my best Bill Clinton voice) "I feel your pain." Last night's game had to be devastating for true Wings fans, as I know all too well from seeing my Sharks cough-up so many playoff games in years past. But, keep the faith because this series ain't over yet. Sure, a team coming back from an 0-3 playoff hole has only been done twice before, but if it is to be done, yours is the team to get it done. An organization as good as the Red Wings will not, and should not believe all is lost. When the series started I felt the biggest factor would be between the pipes and, after Howard's performance in Game 3, maybe starting Ozzie would be a wise choice. The guy has always had the magic touch in the playoffs. Other than that . . . I got nothin'. You guys have had the great fortune of having the most successful team in the NHL over the past decade or so. But as someone from LGW posted last night over at The Feeder, maybe 10 playoff series' in the last 2+ years is starting to catch up to Detroit and maybe it's finally our time to spend a little quality time with the big shiny thing. For the Sharks to win this series, after all of their past failures, would be huge. And winning it against the Red Wings would be what would make it special. Anyway, good luck Thursday night and may the best team win.

    put ozzy in, now?

Ozzie should have been in after game 2. Now it's just a matter of whether he starts, and if so whether he keeps enough out of the net for the Wings' 2-3 goal offense to actually win. EDIT: Looking at the poll so far, I'm thoroughly amused. Howard has a similar showing in game 3 as he did in game 2, and the poll results flip completely based on voting so far? Interesting...

Little known fact: Sidney Crosby personally vetoed Bettman's last minute decision to concede the cap to the NHLPA.

I blame taking a break and trying to sit on a 2 goal lead on tonight's loss. If anything is consistent, it's this and has been for years. A 2 goal lead isn't a sure-fire win and we've been acting like it has been for a long time. As for the last 2, I'll be in the corner crafting my tin-foil head gear and continue to be pissed at the refs for the 10 PKs we had in the last game alone.
