    Bertuzzi Signs 2 Year Deal

What are you guys complaining about? $2 million a year is nothing compared to how much guys are being overpaid around the league.

Pam Anderson should be there. She's Canadian. Basically, her and Lilja should host.

Really? Eaves on the second line over Cleary *and* Bertuzzi? Partnered with Homer? Did I miss something?

LOL @ this. Some people on here amaze me. He's just having some good fun on a bad situation that he never ended up getting sentenced on btw. You know, if he beat the s*** out of the cabby he might have actually got prosecuted lolololol Some people are soooooooooo sour over Chicago winning the Cup, f*** i love it.

    Kane and Byfuglien joke around

I have to say those "keep my shirt on" and "I love cab drivers" comments were funny. And I think the belt is really tacky!

    Bertuzzi Signs 2 Year Deal

Agreed. I wish he'd remember how f-ing big he is and start playing like it. 6'3" and 230 lbs, and Darren Helm hits harder than him. If he uses his size more and stops taking stupid offensive zone penalties while maintaining his current level of play otherwise, I'll be ecstatic with this deal.

We have had this discussion before, but first, it is a good problem to have. That means you have multiple lines that can contribute. It puts more pressure on their line mates, because more is expected of them, which is good. First and second line guys will get top defensive pairings, so I have always like scorers on the third or fourth line, because it creates mismatches. We have seen this with Samuelsson and Hudler, producing in a lower number of minutes on the lower lines. The players just have to get over the individual issues and realize it is all about the end result which is the win.

He makes $2.8m already, and the Thrashers cut off negotiations with him because he wanted an even higher salary; no doubt they thought he was overpaid as is.

    Bertuzzi Signs 2 Year Deal

It's not a terrible price, but it's still $2 million for 2 years for a player we didn't need, and who won't help much. I know I said I wouldn't hate it, but at that price and term it sucks. Once Helm, Abby, a 7th defenseman, and 13th forward are signed, we'll be lucky to have $500k left for deadline moves. Also, if we're lucky and Nick comes back again, this is our teams for two more years. We'll maybe lose Draper and Ozzie, replace them with nobodies, and spend the savings on raises for Howard and Ericsson. Hooray.

    Bertuzzi Signs 2 Year Deal

I'm a bit bummed by the hit being as high as it is, but if Bert is willing to work on some issues in the offseason (ie don't take retard penalties, two hands on the stick, a little more body down low) I'll be pleased with this signing. In other words, the realm of this cap-hit isn't something to be completely disappointed about, because I feel he's potentially worth it. Its now his job to earn it.

It's a fine deal. Coming off his year last year this is a great deal. Just hope he can stay healthy.

Not sure why I got minus-3 for that. He has a two-way contract, has never played North American hockey before and has agreed to play in Grand Rapids if need be. Don't get angry at me that that's where he'll spend his FIRST season in North America. Not my fault Good signing for Grand Rapids at any rate.

    Pronger Responds

anyone get the feeling that pronger is going to absolutely destroy burrish if they meet in a game, like seriously hes a bastard but why make those comments. Also Pronger is the biggest idiot in the leauge, there is no one bigger than 6 foot 6 who is more idiotic than him? but in all seriousness burrish is the biggest idiot in the league for sticking it to pronger

    Pronger Responds

I've never hated Pronger as much as others do, I've always thought he had a pretty great sense of humor. Sure I hate it when the Wings play against him, but the guy is one of the best. I loved the comments, they were spot on. Burish really shouldn't be saying that right AFTER the series. If anything, say it before or during the series, pretty cowardly to call a guy out right after you know you wont play him again for a very long time, maybe ever.

    Kane and Byfuglien joke around

I probably hate Kane and the Hawks more than anyone on this board. But look, he did admit his mistakes, I'm not saying he paid his dues, but he's just joking around, without (obviously) implying what he did to the cabbie was funny...
