    Hudler's Future

Hudler sucks. He's slow. Lazy. Can't play defense and can't score without the help of Datsyuk, who can make anyone look great. See Thornton/Cheechoo. Get rid of 'im.

I dont see an actual article on TSN about it but they have the video posted on the main TSN NHL page. Anyways, I guess it's not as much fun when you start playing against a team who dives as much as you do.

Subliminal Sidney Crosby Messages in NHL commercials?

As we know, because Crosby is injured, he gets no attention in NHL commercials. Honestly tho, when I read OP I asked.. "so?"... Do we have this much penis envy over the attention he gets? :violin:

    Sharks Accuse Canucks of Diving

What, are they mad the Canucks are trying to steal their thunder or because they want lessons?

Well, I do know what's realistic and I'm not living in crazy land.

There's some people in the Toronto media that think Crosby's done. Apparently he's stopped skating because of headaches.

I've found some images, my main problem is different websites claiming different years. (I've seen this one claimed as '36 and '37?) (I've seen this one claimed as '36 and '37?) (I think this is '54) (I think this is '55) (I think this is '50) (Not really sure what year this is at all)

1 - he gets a labled as being a bad skater because he's a bad skater. 2 - he's the master of tipped pucks in front of the net, we all know that, and i'm not arguing that. but what about what happens with our top line on the other two thirds of the ice? playing defense. getting the puck into the zone. setting up the cycle (so he can get into his spot). if you really want to get the most out of him, take him off the top line, and make him a power play specialist (bertuzzi, on the other hand, can rot away as a healthy scratch until he decides to be an enforcer for all i care). 1 - we all know he's smart (/a great guy/hard-worker/etc/etc/etc). so is draper. so is maltby. so is modano. moving on. 2 - you can afford it if you like getting knocked out in the second round, i guess.

Yeah I somewhat agree Homer and Bert on the top 2 lines doesn't work. Homer should hang em up and unfortunately we are stuck with Bert for one more year.

God no. I can't stand this philosophy on lines, where you have two guys who control the puck and the other sits in front of the net. It's like we're institutionally shorthanded.

What I would like the Red Wings to pursue: 1. Top-six scoring winger OR a solid third line center that would allow Filppula to play on Pav's wing. (Probably not Abdelkader or Helm) 2. Solid seasoned veteran bottom pairing defensive defenseman. (Not Ericsson) 3. Smart and safe puck moving defenseman for the third pair. (Probably not Ericsson or Kindl) 4. Someone to keep the flies off. (5.) Perhaps a backup goalie other than Ozzie but I feel like Ozzie has one more redemption run in him by backup goalie standards. EDIT: To me, that's the ideal. I realistically hope they get at least a couple of those.

    Changes in the offseason

Finally, you've seen the light. I'm glad you've admitted your follies in the past. Now it's time for Holland to go out and make it happen.

    Changes in the offseason

You're the perfect reason why the negative button needed to come back. This is so full of fail. So all the Red Wings have to do to get Weber is to get rid of Rafalski? You do know Nashville will have nearly 15mil to sign Weber to a massive long term contract that only Atlanta and NYI will probably be able to match? For the last f'n time, the Detroit Red Wings, will NOT, and I repeat, will NOT be tendering an offer for Weber nor will they sign Weber. Just stop it.

"My heart just isn't in it, anymore". Said 1 week before the playoffs. He's lucky to have seen the ice at all.

    Hudler's Future

I'm going to call it. Bleacher Report - After a long, frustrating search, Brian Burke has finally got his man. After unsuccessfully attempting to lure Brad Richards to the Blue and White and missing out on a trade that would have seen Paul Stastny as the newest Leaf, Burke landed playmaking extrodinaire and Stanley Cup Champion Jiri "Adam Oates" Hudler. Hudler is expected to play on the top unit and be the playmaking center to the dynamic offensive Juggernaut that is the Phil Kessel Show. Phil, being much more valueable than three high draft picks and certainly Tyler Seguin, has been attacked falsely by the elitist "majority of common sense hockey people" for being an underachieving, streaky, one dimensional hockey player. Burke's new acquisition couldn't be much farther from those things. Hudler, whose passionate play and crunching body checks are feared by many, should complete a dynamic offensive duo rivaled only by the Sedin Twins and Heidi & Spencer™. In defence of the trade, Burke stated that greatness comes at a price. He believes James Reimer, the Leafs 2012 first round pick, and 17% percent stake in the Leafs in a drop in the hat compared to Hudler's experiance and elite "vision". Burke stated, with a sense of accomplishment, "Ken Holland is the one who believes you don't need a great goalie or high draft picks to win, I'm just trying to follow his lead." He went on to say, "The loss of Reimer hurts but Hudler's tenacious backchecking should cover the difference between Reimer's play and our replacemen's,, Norm Maracle." All's well in Toronto folks. Sincerely, Maple Leafs Fan
