So which team is most likely to keep the Wings from winning the Cup if they meet up in the playoffs? I would say in the West it's San Jose as the most dangerous b/c of how they seemed to have own the Wings the last 3 seasons and then after that I say the Hawks and then the Canucks even though they are not playing well they still can come to life when they want to. In the East the only team I fear is Pittsburgh b/c Gary Buttman will want to put the Cup in Cindy Crybaby's hands just like 2009 as any other team e.g. Bruins, Flyers the Wings can handle from the East. With that being said it's a good idea for the Wings to get home ice all the way through this year b/c if they draw San Jose they need the extra home game this time around to have a better shot at beating them. Also need to finish atop the division as finishing seeded #4 won't cut it in the Western playoffs.

No one is as all-around skilled as Datsyuk...

This is a far cry from the team that couldn't score more than one goal for about a half a dozen straight games. Pav and Hank both getting their mojo; Flip absolutely flying; Hudler picking it up; fourth line types contributing now too. All coming together. I didn't want to say anything and jinx it, but that was an enjoyable half-game without a power play.

My biggest problem with the realignment is how freaking boring our conference/division still is.

When your feet leave AFTER contact, it is because of the process of using your legs to propel yourself into a player, which is usually upwards. When you leave your feet BEFORE contact, you are essentially dead weight in the air (due to there being no fulcrum at the ice where you can be knocked backwards more easily) and can cause a lot more injury to a player's body, including the head. The Shanaban video shows Fistric left his feet before contact. That is a charge. Stuart had at least one foot on the ice before contact. Or are you blind?

I'm not sure what his name is and I don't have the time/give-a-damn to look up his name, but we all know Boston's TV announcer to be one of the worst EVER. The often over-dramatic, always ignorant homer is laughable to hear in the background of Bruins highlights. But it gets worse.... Also, he looks like a much bigger weasel than his voice suggests.

stuart and kronwall both left thier feet on those hits, those are now illegal, both players hit this way frequently, or are you blind? Or do you not care that the wings will stop hitting/be suspended if they do?
