We're really lucky to have this guy and to be able to watch him every game! Part 1 Part 2

There isn't to many players in the league anymore that can make people jump up or to the edge of their seat, but this guy does it to me almost every time. You just know something mind blowing is about to happen when he touches the puck, plus I don't know of any other players that can play keep away against an entire line of pro hockey players. Soooo glad this guy is on our side, GO WINGS GO!!!

It's no wonder why there is so much bad blood between USA and CAN in these tournaments with statements like this. You didn't even mention the Canada's win yet you are ecstatic about the US loss.

There isn't a more creative player in the NHL

Much of the last 2 years has been paying lip service to the 2 years previous, when he was a dominate force in the playoffs. But not to worry, he has 9 years left on his contract to get back on track.

He played a really good game against the Blues tonight and was VERY physical I thought. I dont really see a difference between what he provides and what Kindl does to be honest. I also found it weird how we have all been harping on guys like Ericcson and Abdelkader to toughen up out there, tonight they were all mixing it up and playing tough. Commodore had a run taken at him, and ABdelkader went and gave Crombeen a shot and next thing you know gloves were on the ice ( refs jumped in). It just seemed like this team was playing a bit tougher when this guy is out there, I know its a small sample size but when stepping up against a team like the Blues who I hate happens, I cant help but notice. I didnt catch the calgary game but read that he played solid as well and asked Jackman to drop the gloves a couple times as well. There was another time when Ericcson was giving someone a shot infront of Howard when he had it covered, and Commie cam right over and got in there. This team never swarms guys like that but Commie has the right mentality.Commodore in the lineup happened right after Jimmy was complaining about getting hit, I dont think its a secret why hes in there and it seems like having him will most likely lead to a more team tough mentality. Once he gets into a couple more games itll be better to judge but he has looked good so far, glad to see hes taking his opportunity and going with it

I'm excited about this guy... He and Helm should be just great to watch! Cleary would be perfect fit on that line, better hands than Abby.

Here is why he is how he is... ..ok, it's fine to admire you hometown hero, and hell, even root for him. But to grow up in the Detroit hockey market and claim to be an Avalanche fan...no there is where the problem is. ...buckeye, need I say more? He also was tutored while earning his high school diploma while playing with the US National Team Development Program...can you say pampered *****? So there are a few reason's why he feels that he should not get hit like that...pansy.

High risk high reward, just like Tvrdon. Their risks, though, were/are different. Jurco is supposedly streakier than Franzen and lazy while Tvrdon had a major injury his draft year and no one knew how he'd play.

Some people on here vastly overrate MacDonald. He's in the AHL because he's an AHL-caliber goaltender.

Meh, he gets beat way too easily. I'd rather have Kindl in over him, but wouldn't mind he and E swapping games.

I'm sure he'll come back with a contrite comment, promise not to doubt the Wings again, and then do so immediately next time anyway.

HE wasn't that physical at all. Kindl is regularly more physical in fact. He had a golden opportunity in the 3rd and shot it about 10 ft wide. What he needs to be doing is dropping the mitts and he hasn't been that great defensively. I don't know what you are seeing. And Datsyuk was the cog of the physical play last night, and no one else.

I see him as an excellent backup goalie if he makes it. I don't know about him being a starter though yet.

Received a gift card to shop.nhl.com for x-mas and I'm thinking about making a custom long sleeve shirt from their website. Thing is, I can't decide on who (only non roster players) or what text I should but on the back. Thinking maybe "Champions" for the name then for the number "97" or something. Possibly "Lord Stanley" "97". Any suggestions? BTW, great win tonight.

It's pretty simple - if the Holland wants to win a cup then either thru trades, call-ups, or signings, the wings need to find better players for the roles that Bertuzzi and Hudler currently play. Keep in mind none of the other active forwards belong in the top 6 either - especially Cleary. The ironic thing is that overall our goaltending and defense is as good as it has been in years. Its the forwards that have taken a dive. Pretty much the opposite of our power years in the past.
