    Kindl's future...

No it isn't, considering like you said Huskins is a shut down guy, something we need on this team, something we have been after. We can't have just puck moving shooting defensemen we need stay at home guys too

Whether you like Toots or not, the team needed this

All this and his line generated some good scoring chances too! Tootoo is willing to bleed for a win. I. LOVE. THAT. esteef

BTW, Dillon should have taken off his visor during that long squareoff.

In 2 consecutive tuesdays now ive found myself repeatedly screaming "TOOTOO!!" at the games. And im not ashamed about it as some people on here would want me to be. love this guy.

Our defense needs Huskins, he's our most reliable stay at home at this point. Numerous times has he been the only one back stopping dangerous plays from happening. He glues people to the boards and locks em out. Not including Smith? What the hell Axe? I know you got some off the wall ideas my man, but forgetting about Smith is just silly. I'm sorry, but when injuries aren't as bad on our blue line, Lashoff is going to have to go back to GR. He's the only one waiver exempt and we're not going to lose someone for free. Unless we get a package deal going before these next 2-3 weeks, I see him unfortunately being sent back down. Not because of his level of play, because I would love to keep him up, just because of the situation. Kronner-White Smith-Huskins Rig-Carlo Quincey rotating (although he's looked better the past 3 games) beauty across the lines, white can cover for kronner. huskins on smith and carlo for rig. Bring back the offensive rig we know, and allow him to use that shot he does have (trust me, the dude can throw a 1T down range).

If you watch it from the Dallas feed they make it seem like Tootoo got creamed in the second fight, it's funny cause I don't think there was a clear cut winner or loser in that fight, my favourite is that in the interview after hesaid he was good to go for a third fight lol, love having tootoo on the team! EDIT: I also love mick singing on the replay of the first fight, his homerisms are priceless

    Paul Kelly: Expansion coming

This smacks of "As owners we're OK with the money we lost in the lockout, because we'll just turn around & create two new teams and rake in that expansion fee money to make up for it". Certainly doesn't look like it's for the overall health of the league to me, just the owners' wallets.

Both is the key! Nomadic teams to keep the league fresh I say.

You need to factor in the players on their lines for all of those seasons, how often they were on the same line together, injuries and length of time missed, etc. There's nothing reflecting favoritism here at all because the differences are so small and there's a tremendous amount of factors outside of the numbers.

I'll just go ahead and put this here and

Take some valium maybe that will help you sleep tonight, since the 1 shift difference seems to bother you oh so very much
  15. 1 point
Ya this is a dumb thread in general, I just pointed out that 4 of the 6 games we've played this year Dats got more toi, but it was by like 1 shift, they basically get the same ice time, they are the top two lines, and they both basically get 20min/game

    OHL vs. College Hockey Quality?

I'm with Mike on this one. Don't know how anyone can say they've seen CHL and NCAA and think NCAA is better. Peace.

    OHL vs. College Hockey Quality?

Yours would make sense, but your assuming they score more because the competition is weaker, and your assuming the competition is weaker because they're younger. Totally different games, and CHL is way more similar to pro hockey

Oh s*** did Gretzky come out of OHL? Was Mario Lemieux from the Q? Don't answer that lol The NCAA like some people have said is better than what it has been. Last 10 years IMO. However the no touch icing call and no fighting rule. BLOW. Along with let's make everyone wear cages or shields in the NCAA. Yay.

    Nail Yakupov Goal Celebration.

Thank you. I know the Wings are sucking it up, folks, but there are more interesting things around the league to talk about.

    OHL vs. College Hockey Quality?

I was gonna write a CHL list, but it's just every other north american born player plus a few europeans that have played in the nhl the last 40 years or so.

People keep saying Brunner needs defence blah blah blah. He was not brought in to be a two way forward like Datsyuk, we have enough of those, he was brought in to be a straight up scorer, and that is what babs expects from him. Sure he could work on his defensive game a bit too, but he is still better defensively than Franzen, and works his tail off night in and night out, and thats all I want is for him to work hard and put some pucks in the net. So far so good.

    Everyone chill out!

Fact: You'd rather be playing your best hockey at the end of the season, rather than at the beginning of the season (even in a short 48 gm season). We're struggling at the beginning with signs of of better things to come. The only way to over come these things is thru hard work, and that is what we've lacked in the playoffs the last couple of years. So, that could be a good thing. Observation: St Louis, Chicago, San Jose, are the elite teams of the West this year. Vancouver is right behind, and certainly has the capability to get hot, especially with Zach Kassian showing signs of becoming a top level power forward. If Schneider can step into the #1 role and stay comfortable, and they actually get something in return for Luongo, it could put them right back into the elite level in the West. The next nine teams is a mosh pit of parity. At this early point in the season, when you look at Nashville, Detroit, Minnesota, Edmonton, Colorado, Dallas, Pheonix, L.A., and Anaheim, it's anybody's guess as to what order they'll all finish in, but I gotta think we can make it into the top half of those nine teams. I still believe in our top 6, and still believe that our bottom 6 can do whats asked of it. The Obvious: The Wings will need to stay healthy; to get the most out of everyone; will need the no name defense to make a name for itself; will need Howard at his best; and will need a helluva lot of puck luck to make the playoffs. It really depends on which teams come together and get hot, and which teams don't. Ya just gotta play the games and see.
