He played really well on EV Zug with Brunner and Z and he's a solid Dman. Watched a few Habs games this year and he looked good. So yes, i am serious. If he came for a decent price I'd be all for it. Three straight losses to rookie goalies. Just can't put 60 minutes together, but not entirely surprising considering the injuries and lack of talent mostly. No reason for Samuelsson and Cleary (or Bertuzzi) to be playing in the top-six on this team. Let the young kids get an expanded role the rest of the season and see what we have for the future. Z, Pavel and Brunner all on one line is a catch 22. The third line played well, but where else does the scoring from? I haven't seen Filppula do anything for awhile besides pinch poorly for the third goal tonight.

Right now Zetterberg Datsyuk and Brunner ARE our team, after that, there isn't much to be happy about. Tatar has been impressive though

That was borderline penalty shot I thought. Rather have Tatar's hands than whatever these two minutes will bring.

Brendan Smith needs to come back soon. I can't believe Samuelsson and White were out there together on the point. Everything but the net gets hit with those two firing. First 30 minutes were very strong, next ten looked like the same stretch of meltdown in every other game lately.

The wings really need to pass swifter in the offensive zone on the PP. Starting to notice the other team does not even have to move, the wings have become that predictable

The Wings always seem to be caught off guard when they get a two goal lead, and the other team steps it up a notch. Now we'll probably progress to the "opponents sub goalie plays his ass off" part of the game.

Don't remember the date, but the Wings were down 2-0 in Chicago 4-5 years ago and had been outplayed most of the game. Detroit scored a goal with 16 seconds left. Dats then scored with less than a second left in regulation to tie. The goal went to review to see if the clock had run down. It was a good goal and the Wings went on to win in OT.

Exactly. I hate the "hindsight" thing. A lot of us here wanted Hossa over Franzen at the time. Hossa was and still is a better player. For the deal Hossa signed with Chicago, it's not like the Red Wings couldn't have found a way to make that work compared to Franzen's. Holland chose the wrong guy.

I expect this one to get some action after tonight.
