I actually agree that our problems stem from the blue line. We have one of the worst puck possessing blue lines in the NHL. We cannot clear our own zones and we constantly turn the puck over in our own zone or in the neutral zone. That should be the priority in the off season. No chance getting a top line defensemen in the next month.

Was never a Tootoo fan and was totally ticked off when they signed him for so much and for so long. That said, I think he got a totally raw deal from the Red Wings. It isn't like Tootoo has ever been a defensive specialist or a high scorer. He came and played exactly the way he always did. He is what we thought he was. For that, he's been benched and buried in the minors. What was left of his career, I don't know, but the Wings have essentially ruined any chance he had of latching on to another team and re-establishing himself.

No one served bench minors like Happy.

I'm right there with you, were transitioning kind of well given the amount of changes were going through, keep the playoff streak alive while retooling and the wings brass will be back in the conversations of the best front office ever.but this is a doom and gloom thread. Were in the wrong place.
