Id also say no. If we were a contending team Id say absolutely if we could afford him, at this point I would just keep drafting and hopefully Yzerman can pull off a couple more Fabbri esc trades. -

Chicago's first Stanley v. Philly was low key one of my favorite series. It seems obvious now, but throwing out a younger Bylfugien at powerfoward against Pronger was genius. Despite that many would argue that Byflugien plays better at defense. You eliminate the presence of Pronger like that and now all you have to do is beat their forward match-ups. Kane and Toews v. Carter and Richards. Byflugien was basically the door jam for Kane and Toews. -

1 - $10M isn't close to a max contract 2 - He's not worth that kind of money 3 - Even if he was currently, he's too old to be signing a 7 year contract for that type of money -

I'd say no unless we have a crystal ball, and can see if he's able to repeat what he had accomplished in '17/'18.
