That series was a synopsis of our whole season. Couldn't score. Special teams sucked. Clearly were out coached and Ericsson was on the ice for a big goal against. To the people who think a move at the deadline would've helped should be happy now that we saved the picks and prospects because without some proactive thinking this team was going nowhere. Tough last game for Pav, hope he stays but I think thats it. I would sell the house, farm, cars and even the kids to get Stamkos. Once in a 10 year type span to get a player like him. Show him everything he wants to see and at the end of the day if he wants to go somewhere else so be it...but please put in some effort. This organization is stale and needs a hockey trade or two. There are many servicable guys on this team still but roles need to be redefined.

Watching some of these other games really shows you how far away Detroit is now.

Hopefully the wings don't turtle because they have a 2 goal lead. For sure AA has to play more but you know that won't happen. That is one of the reasons I detest Blashill. He refuses to believe, even though he sees what AA has done. He has the same stubborn streak as Babcock.

We looked pretty good in the 1st. But I just can't get over how this team always tries making the extra pass instead of just shooting the puck. Did it all season. And apparently are going to continue to do it in the playoffs. When you have a 5 on 3 for almost a minute in their zone, and you get 2 shots on goal, there is a serious problem. We gotta just start shooting the puck and hoping for the best. Any hesitation and extra passing is just gonna make it easier on a goalie as good as Bishop.

Every year we get bounced in the first or second round I wait to hear about all the injuries we had and I at least feel a little better. The last few years though......crickets. I'm praying Dats, Z, Tatar, Nyquist, and Kronnner all are playing on broken legs or something equally debilitating.
However, I'm afraid everybody is completely healthy.

Once again, the sad trumpet plays for our beloved Red Wings this year. Why is it that Tampa Bay has all of these monster-sized guys shoving our guys around and we really have no one to answer the bell for us?
Plus we have leaky defense/goaltending and no one can score a goal when we need one. It's a freaking mess! We need some personnel changes man.........

The only way this playoff is of any benefit is if the kids get a ton of playing time. If I see Jurco or Andersson in any game (barring injury) it's a waste and I'll jump on the "Fire Blashill) bandwagon.

Sorry guys, Blash did not display a good coaching job in this game. It was pretty bad.

Definitely a much more acceptable performance from an effort perspective. Turn it up even more in the 3rd.

People have been saying this since earlier in the season and I couldn't see it. I thought the right thing to do was to give him a full season and he'd be ok.
Well, game 82. Must win game. I feel he's gotten worse, so now I'm also in the moving on from Blash camp.

That period was an absolute joke.....
