Bannedforlife got a reaction from number9 in Voynov pleads "No Contest" to Domestic Violence Charge
You're talking out of your ass.First of all, since he'll be serving time in jail, not prison, there is no such thing as minimum or maximum security. There's just jail. It's the same for everybody. And LA County's main facility, the Twin Towers, is no joke. Unless he PC's up, he'll be spending his 90 days in a 80 man cell full of gang bangers, drug addicts, and murders awaiting trial.
Speaking of those 90 days, since his crime is violent in nature he would be ineligible for any sort of work release program, house arrest or anything of the sort. I'm not certain, but I don't even think he is going to get credit for good behavior. I'd be willing to bet good money that he'll be serving the full 90 days in one of the worst facilities in the nation.
This isn't the 80's or something bro. His lawyer might have gotten him the most favorable outcome possible, but California's DOC takes violent and domestic abuse sentences VERY seriously, and his semi-celebrity status will not buy him any sort of preferential treatment out here.

Yea, but it's a nice break from the usual grinding that goes on around here. Sometimes this forum makes me feel like a compulsive mass debater.

He managed to find us a RHD we've been looking for since Rafalski retired, he addressed our lack of center depth after buying out Weiss. More importantly he did both without tying us to either player long term so even if they don't work out, it won't be a disaster.
To top if off he and Mr. Ilitch already worked out a pretty awesome new dance routine with our new additions.

Well, look who decided to come late! Listen, im no Semin expert, but the sole fact that he shoots those long, hard blasts with his right hand would make him a welcome addition to the group. Plus, as long as Holland makes sure that we're protected during negotiations, we really won't be exposing ourselves to catching any SPCs that we'll regret later on.

Its hard to get excited with no fore check.
His back checking is decent, but I don't like playing from behind with semin, he has no intensity, and he puts too much pressure on the rush, and when he doesn't score he gives up and you don't see him the rest of the time.

That press conference was a master stroke by Brian Burke. He became the champion of "Ye Olde Tyme Hockey" by glorifying Colton Orr at the same time as he was effectively waiving him and ending his pro career.
"Look at Colton Orr here", Burke gestures, "Why he's the prototype of what a hockey player should be. All heart, knuckles, and square jaw. I love this kid as if he were my own son. He a rat killing, penalty box chillin, death tollin, rock and rollin', son of a gun, and he's the kind of guy that wins hockey games..."
..."which is why I'm waiving him and sending him to the minors".
