I remember this hit Bertuzzi put on Chelios, it was brutal! I am just glad he is on our side now. I hope he can perform like he did in the past, otherwise this is a bust.

I know Chelios said 10 days ago that they should pick up Bertuzzi, but can they get along?

It should be interesting to hear Chelios comment on this trade.

I know Bertuzzi played against the Avs a lot in the Northwest Division, maybe he can give some hell to Floppa when we play Nashville!!

GO WINGS!!!

I think if anyone would understand the value of having that guy on your team it would be Chelly.
NOBODY ON THE RED WINGS IS LAZY, NOR DO ANY OF THE WINGS PLAYERS SUCK!!!

(this includes the coaching staff, ownership, scouting department, and JLA employees and their families)

no kidding.

Why do people think it's gonna be such an issue for Cheli? He's a professional.

As I've said before, he and Yzerman have exchanged punches to the face, but that didn't seem to matter to either one when they brought Chelios here.

That was five years ago, and I don't think Cheli would have advocated picking up Bert if he held any grudge.

Just last week Chelios said that Tkachuk or Bertuzzi would be a great fit for the Wings, and that he would absolutely be able to put everything aside and get along with him.

No doubt Chelios can get over it. with all the dirty plays Chelios has made over the year he can certainly understand that it's part of the game.

Wow, the first Bert/Winged Wheel Sig on LGW! That didn't take long!

Too bad its bigger than whats allowed! tongue.gif

I'm not concerned in the least. Cheli probably put it past himself years ago.
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

I believe in the end its a simple, simple game; no different than my two youngest fightin in the living room; you draw a line in the sand, and you decide who wants the ball more. And that's what hockey's about. - Babblecock

He's got some moves - think he could take the 3rd shootout spot ? Now that Williams IS gone, who will take the 3rd shootout spot?

This is similar to when we traded for Chelios in 1999. Lots of history and bad blood, but when you're on the same side, it changes everything.

That backhand move is lethal. Three different breakaways... same move, very nice goal.

That's part of the business, one day you are enemies and the next day your sit next to him in the dressing room.

Tucker gave Peca a concussion with a cheap shot in one playoff and now they are teammates.

Besides, it's not like Bertuzzi got traded to Colorado.

Yeah I noticed the same thing. He seems to have a wicked backhand shot.
