skacore 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Is Brian Rafalski the type of player that Tomas Kopecky would give up his #28 to? Honestly I couldn't care less I just came across this in my NHL 07 dynasty

rage 24 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Ha. I guess he probably will. I bet Brian could probably take him out to dinner or get something worked out.
Swayze 81 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 I was wondering that too. I'd say that Kopecky would if Rafalski wanted it, but do you think he wants it that much? Anyone know if he used a different number on other teams?
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 If Brian wants it.

OsGOD 3 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Heck no... Brian needs t' earn a number on this crew... jus' 'cause ye sign th' contract does nah mean ye can jus' fit in wit' th' chemistry... if he proves t' be an active participant than if Kopecky says so he can 'ave th' number 28. 'til then he wears

Henkka 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 I think Kopecky will take #82. It is also his birth year.

WingWarrior25 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Will Kopecky give #28 to Rafalski? No Will Rafalski walk into the locker room and have a brand new jersey with #28 and his name on it and never know that Kopecky wore #28 because the wings took it from Kopecky? Most likely. Kopecky has played a total of 31 games in the NHL including the playoffs with 1 point to his credit. It doesn't matter if he would be willing to or not, the decision is most likely out of his hands. Cicada 4 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 at the end of the day does the # really matter? chelios has worn three different numbers with three different teams. i'm sure rafalski will be happy not to have the number. i'm sure kopecky doesn't give a s*** either

For example you would expect someone to relinquish a #5 to Lidstrom, as he wears it out of respect for Potvin.

wingsnut25 10 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Its a seniority thing, not necessarily seniority with a team but with the league, if Rafalski wants the number it is his, Kopecky doesnt have much say in the matter.

BringHomeTheCup! 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 In order for Kopecky to give away the #28, it would first have to be his. And in order for it to be his, he would actually have to play for the Wings.
bringback91 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 I think Rafalski already got it, when he was added to the offical roster on the Wings site, it had a #0. But now it says both he and Kopecky have 28. So Kopecky will be getting a new number I assume.
LeftWinger 4,963 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 ...when the Wings sign Hall, Comrie & Guerin, Kopecky will be the 13th forward, so he will have no choice but to give it to him...
JayUp88 1 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 i'm sure he will get it, then again does it really matter
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Rafalski could always cough up some cash to insure he gets it....not sure what the ko-pay would be though.
