Offsides 21 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 .....ah well. If Feds had been shooting Ozzie would have stoned him haha geuss they figured out the secret Nah...Feds scored on Ozzie in a shootout before and won. Feds is never in the top 3 of shooters, I bed he'd have been fourth if needed. I think that's some kind of strategy.
SylenT 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 CBJ knew if they went glove side on osgood they would get robbed, so they went blocker side and scored ..Exciting game tho
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Good solid tie. After being down 2-0, I'll take it. really? considering the wings played only one period tonight i'm pretty disappointed. i hope babs brings down the hammer, this is really getting old. the central absolutely owns us, it's sad. PenaltyShot 96 521 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Though we had a comeback brewing, but we ran out of fuel. The Wings need to work on their PP, seriously. On the bright side we did get 1 point and 2 fights Night all

FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 dude take your own advice, its only a regular season game, calm down, we were lucky to pull a point out of that game Sadly it has gone to that repeatedly against the Central.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 really? Oh, definitely. The team looks like it's suffering from some kind of holiday hangover. Things could be much worse.
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Zetter seen nash doing 100 moves so zette decides to do the same eh? i don't know what the hell z was doing. oh well, wings put themselves in the position of having to win in a shootout, they deserve what they got. haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Horrible. This team isn't even going to make the playoffs. Zetterberg is worse than Chris Chelios in the shootout, and Osgood couldn't stop a single shot, despite them all being weak. Pathetic. It's time to rebuild. :rotflmao:
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Take a deep breath everybody. One game. Keep Downey in, those 2 fights tonight we great. We dont need to work on our powerplay, Lidstrom and Rafalski have to switch sides so they can shoot.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Sadly it has gone to that repeatedly against the Central. Ok so the central has decided theyre not gonna let us walk all over them anymore...we're gonna have to play harder. Yeah it has gone that way repeatedly against the central, says something about the wings, they need to pick it up. Doesnt change the fact that we were lucky to get a point, lets look at the positives, Ozzie was incredible in the 2nd kept us in the game and we almost had it when sammy hit the post. Meanwhile i doubt they will ignore the negatives and continue to work. If anything the central is showing us the plus and downs of our team before the playoffs. Take a deep breath everybody. One game. Keep Downey in, those 2 fights tonight we great. We dont need to work on our powerplay, Lidstrom and Rafalski have to switch sides so they can shoot. there ya goo....breathhhhhh

We dont need to work on our powerplay, Lidstrom and Rafalski have to switch sides so they can shoot. rafalski needs to learn how to keep the f-ing puck in at the point, that's the problem. i really want to like him, but seriously, how many times is this guy gonna cough the puck up on the pp? it's no wonder the wings have the most shorties scored against them. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Oh, definitely. The team looks like it's suffering from some kind of holiday hangover. Things could be much worse. i wish i shared you're attitude. holiday's are no excuse. they had thanksgiving in columbus as well. simple fact is that wings don't feel they need their a game in the central and they seem to be exceptionally slow getting the message that they absolutely do. auxlepli 17 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) Just one game? Holiday hangover? The Wings have not played decent hockey since when they were on the nine-game win streak. Edited November 25, 2007 by auxlepli

Despite all this, they're in first place. This means other teams are doing less. Perspective.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 The two fights cancel out the loss in my book. I can't even remember the last time there was two fights in a Wings game (probably 2003-2004 season). The passion that was in this game tonight made it truely entertaining. Finally, somone on this team defends their teammates. The Downey vs. Shelley fight was ok, nothing too great, but Downey vs. Boll was great! Boll get's in some real good shots early, but Downey hangs in there and takes control near the end. In the end, I give the edge to Downey, mainly because I'm a homer. Nice to see that kind of passion in a Wings game again. Hopefully this organization finally begins to realize the importance of what Downey brings, and keeps him around.
Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Hopefully after this game it will shut up the Dom bashers. I don't remember the last time they had a streak of slop like this. we're lucky with a T. Oh well, maybe next time.

adtthosa 5 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Chill guys, we only lost in a shootout. Thanks to Lilja and Ozzie for the point. At least it was a really exciting game to watch. But seriously, those Columbus announcers are really annoying. They enjoy saying "Nicky Zherdev" just a little too much. I think I'm going to actually count how many times they say his name the next time we play Columbus.
