For the sake of conversation I'll bring this up..

when I was watching the game tonight and saw the collision between Heatley and Drake, although Drake fell, Heatley was the one who got injured.. earlier this year, Drake collided with Matt Greene was it? on Edmonton... and he broke his ankle.. I was thinking to myself, wow does Drake put other players in these "accidental situations" on purpose? Nah...no way he could pull that off, but if anyone has mastered the ability to injury another player, wouldn't it be the savy veteran Dallas Drake?

(I don't really believe that theory :shifty:)

that stinks for the sens. I hate to see good players get hurt. But this is the game of hockey, and things like this happen.

Good luck sens ( except when they play the wings :) )

I hate to see any player hurt. Dany wasn't doing anything that any player doesn't try at times, and it ended badly for him. Get better soon, Heater... your Sens need you.

Wonder who's going to the ASG instead of Heater now for the EC?

That really is to bad. He is fun to watch, when they are not playing detroit, and brings to excitement to games. Then there is the fact that the sens really need him.

Do I smell a losing streak in their future? Probably not but it will be interesting to see how they do without him.

It's a shame. However it's less time than Dan Snyder will be out of the NHL.

OMG, that's a terrible thing to say!!! :scared: I hope Heatley gets better. I like Ottawa, just not when they're playing us.

It's true though. He should be in prison. He had been drinking, speeding, and killed someone because of it.

I would be in jail right now.

Now obviously I am a huge wings fan, but to not care and be happy about someone from another team being injured is just mean and un-sportsmen.... Heatly is a very good player, so this will be hard for the sens to adapt to during his absense... so i hope he gets better soon and gets back to the ice because being first is great, but it is even better when you beat a whole team that has all their good players... But honestly I would never wish upon someone, from any team, to get injured.... that was just dumb and very disrespectful.

I think it was obvious that Ottawa were playing the "game of their lives" last night. The fact that Heatly was hurt by trying to do too much physically is not a suprise. Detroit played like crap and still almost won the game. Ottawa through the sink at them and barely won, and Heatly was injured.

That's what happens when, as a team, you treat game 43 of the regualr season like game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.
