Well I would trade the moon and the stars for Jeremy Roenick to finish off his remaing season/career on the Red Wings. 1-800-Hanson... Call it Kenny... Get 'er DUN! I hate Roenick, I hate Forsberg, oh God do I hate Fedorov! Get over yourselves!!! Are you going to stop watching the Wings if perhaps they did trade for Roenick or Fedorov or sign Forsberg? I actually hope you all do, that way we don't don't have to hear how you change your tune when they start doing well for us and actually HELPING us! Well guess what, hate them all you want, but if anyone of those guys played here, 1. Our team would be better and 2. You'd end up cheering for them (just llike Chelios) because you are all a bunch of "what have you done for me lately" fans! ...Put JR on this team in place of Drake, Hudler or Sammy and this team is better. While you were at that game did you notice who was the one doing all the hitting? Effectively for that matter? You hate these guys cause they're good at what they do and you cannot stand the fact that every last one of them has to abiltity to hurt the Wings everytime they play against them. Hurt them in more ways than one... ...I would love to see any of those players on our team! ...oh wait, I forgot, and just because you hate them, they are cheapshot artists, lazy and suck, and injury prone, washed up, too old, useless, what else has been used to describe these guys, he's a diver... patheic! ...if the Wings signed Forsberg or traded for Roenick/Fedorov and they scored the game winning goal in the Stanley Cup clinching game, you'd be all over their jocks, signing their praises... What's the point in picking up a player who probably can't even keep up with Chelios on the rush? And that's without even considering the dressing room drag this prima donna would cause. I just think with the money we have to spend, that we can geta young prospect who is nearly as good as any of these guys at this point in their careers, and for less money. To be perfectly honest, Roenick, Fedorov, and Forsberg are probably past their primes. As one of the older teams in the league, we do ourselves a service by tapping into young talent rather than old. I recognize the place the these guys have earned in hockey history, but I'm not sure that their present value lives up to their nostalgia value right now. He'd definitely be a better fit than Drake (I mean, let's face it, at least Roenick can score once in a while, and he has grit), he's really good friends with Chelios. Yeah, there'd be drama, but there was drama with Hull in town and look what happened in 2002. Every year since 2001 when all those trade rumors were going around before the BIg Ones I have called for Roenick to join the Wings. Its all good, which is why he is my favorite player.. don't let opinons of others sway my feelings about him Funny how those despising others for "whining" in fact whine about the various subjects (some the exact same) as mentioned above. I am glad to see though that people despise him because he is a "whiner" and not because he is some goon. That makes me all giggly inside 'cause whining is nothing more than in the eyes of the beholder. JR adds humor and some much needed controversy to the game... Kopecky is young, big, and has some potential. Roenick's career is all but over, San Jose won't be trading him, and Holland doesn't want him. The guy is DONE.
