Once again, when we get healthy and we will get healthy, I'm fine with this team as is against anyone still. Anything extra we do is just that, extra. Sure, it'd be nice, but I don't believe it's at all necessary to ensure anything. Anything he can do sans a Hossa isn't going to make or break this team.

Theres an idea people here can never seem to grasp. "we could have had him" maybe maybe not. have you talked to Holland to see if even an offer was made?

And I like how people think they need to make a big move. Any big names moved here at the deadline in 97, 98 or 02? No.

Not really, but then again we didn't have the gaping hole in our secondary scoring in any of those years like we do now. Instead of waiting to the trade deadline to stack our team we would sign Hull, Robitaille, Hasek, et cetera. You know IMPACT players in the pre-season opposed to waiting the full year.

The comparison just don't fly.

Personally, I do not want Jiri Hudler as one of our secondary scoring "threats" in the postseason.

That's actually very true.

Simply stop contributing to the multiple threads and they will quickly disappear.

simply stop making them and it will never be a problem.

That's why the mods pin a thread that says "ALL TRADE INFO/DISCUSSION HERE."

Is it a reading comprehension problem? or do people just think they're they exception?

We better make a move. All of our main competitors have gotten stronger at of 1:30. Either Kenny is working on something big or he's standing pat, which is a bad move. We'll see....

Anaheim has'nt gotten any better. They're the only ones i'm really worried about. Campbell bolsters San Jose's D yes, but beyond him they really have no one. Richards is'nt the same player he was a couple years ago, and the Stars lost Smith and Jokinen in the deal. Turco has been known to choke in the playoffs, and I don't think Holmqvist can hold the fort if he does.

If Anaheim would have got Sundin, then i'd be s***tin.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Can you let me in on why you'd be so excited about him? I'm preparing myself for him being the guy and I'd like to enjoy the experience. I guess there's something to be said for "Better than Lilja" but....

We had a solid team last year in the playoffs that's going to be stronger this year with more experience and after this latest stretch, they won't be taking anything for granted. I'm cool with what we've got. I think the Ducks and the Wings are the teams to beat whether they make moves or not. Just give it time...

This is how I feel. The Wings didn't start to struggle until the injuries started to pile up. I would like Stuart or someone to help out and even Satan or Fedotenko up front would be ok. I truly believe they don't need much more than that. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work. Hossa would be awesome but that would cost a crap load.

So you are of the opinion that Holland needs to make a trade just for the sake of making a trade? Or would it be better to make a trade for the sake of making the team better?
