WingsWingsWings 3 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 I am really excited for the Caps!!! Their head coach is the same guy that led the ECHL team from where I used to live to the championship a number of years ago. Hats off to Bruce, Alex, and the rest of the Caps!! Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Couldn't believe it when I checked the standings today and I see they're the 3rd seed. Unbelievable stuff. My second favourite team so I'm hoping they do well. Edited April 6, 2008 by Aussie_Wing

Shaman 713 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 as ive said before I dont see them going too far, if you can shut down AO you pretty much have their whole team shut down.

If Philly wins tomorrow they'll play the Caps instead of Ottawa. I hope they play the Sens though. Maybe I'm wrong but I really think they'll beat them easily. Ottawa's not great. And I don't rate Paddock as a coach. He hasn't been in sufficient control of his team at any stage this year. He can't rally them in the face of adversity and they just crumble every time. interminded 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 They are one dangerous team, that's for sure. Boudreau should get the Adams for his work... in november the Caps were the worst team in the NHL by far.
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 They have won their last 7 straight and are 11-1 in the last 12. The Canes must be kicking themselves after letting their playoff hopes go in the last game of the year. Must say that the Caps have been playing playoff hockey the last month and may just have burnt themselves out in making the post season. Hope not as they have been great to watch. IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 I am not really sure how unbelievable they are in the third seed. That was the only way they were getting in and the Caps and Carolina were only a couple points apart for a few weeks now. Anyhow congrats to them, I am guessing they will last five games. So much so that I think a few of these guys are jumping ship. It is like when you buy new clothes which ever looks the most clean and sexy is what gets all the wear time. cirov19 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) All I can say is that I called that a couple of months ago when we did playoff predictions. They did a great job and deserved it. I don't see them getting knocked out in the first round by the Sens either. This should be an interesting match-up. Edited April 6, 2008 by cirov19
Mors 201 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Coming from someone who lives in MD, I can't wait to see the Capitals get destroyed to shut these morons up around here who suddenly found out about hockey yesterday. Edited April 6, 2008 by Mors
sinbin 3 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 Congrats to the Caps! But.....this is the team I fear the most! Should they stay healthy throughout the playoffs, I can see them against the Wings for the Cup. Revenger is bittersweet! Go Wings!
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 If the Caps do face off against the Sens...didn't the Caps completely pwn the Sens this season? Yeah, I know, the regular season means nothing when it comes to the playoffs, but still...
