YzerPucks19 4 Report post Posted June 4, 2008 Goalies that have won the Conn Smythe Trophy and some lost with some stats. 97' Mike Vernon - 25 shots a game. 1.76 GAA .927 SV% 01' Patrick Roy - 27 shots a game. 1.70 GAA .934 SV% 03' J.S. Giguère - 33 shots a game. 1.62 GAA .945 SV% New Jersey won the Cups and Brodeur never won the Conn Smythe Trophy once. 95' Brodeur 23 shots a game 1.67 GAA .927 SV% 00' Brodeur 22 shots a game 1.61 GAA .927 SV% 03' Brodeur 26 shots a game 1.65 GAA .934 SV% If I had to give it to a goalie it would be Fleury before Ozzie and I am a Wings fan. Ozzie is only averaging 21 shots a game. In this series he has let in a few goals that shouldn't have went in. Tying goal in game 5 if he hugs the Post we would be getting ready for the Parade in Detroit. This is Pittsburgh shots 3rd Period shots 4 shots - 1 goal 1st OT 2 shots 3rd OT 4 shots - 1 goal . They didn't have more then 8 shots in 1 period last night. 1st period in game 5 he lets in 2 goals on 5 shots. IF this series goes 7, which I hope doens't happen FLEURY will win the Conn Smythe win or lose the Cup. Fleury has 172 more shots then Ozzie and they have the same stats almost except for the GAA. Zetterberg was deserving for sure MAF outplayed him only in game 3 and game 5. In other words, in the games Ozzie was the better tender, the Wings won. In the games Fleury was the better tender, the Pens won. Ozzie had better stats in the series coming into Game 6, and had a better game in Game 6.
