I think Abdelkader has the best shot out of any of them at seeing ice time, and I would love for that to happen.

I'd like Leino in there more though, of course.

Thing is, really, what do you have to lose using Abdelkader or Kindl or Leino? You already cannot generate any offense against this team, they've figured us out. Sure Chelios is a playoff vetern but he is a liability, with no chance of adding anything to the offense. I am sure though that Meech would get the call before Kindl. Now, Abs and Leino you could easilt sit Maltby and Kopy. Maybe dress 13 forwards and have Kopy on standby, with only 6 D. I know Babs won't change nothing tonight, but I sure hate to wait until an elimination game to start changing, that will put too much pressure on the kids. I understand NOT dressing Downey because then Anaheim will know exactly why he's there and goat him into bad penalties. Maybe just change Maltby and Kopy, PLEASE Mike!!! Leino and Abs could be the spark we need! Honestly though, Homer needs to be demoted, he aint producing, he aint bothering anyone, especially Hiller. Put the Mule on the top line with Dats and Hank. I am so hoping they win tonight!

On a sidenote. This is great timing for the black aces to show up. I'm assuming there is enough pride in that dressing room that none of them want to lose with the black aces watching. Sure it's a stretch, but I'll take any positive I can get right now.

Most coaches will say that no player is sacrosanct. Anyone could lose their slot at any time. While you're not going to sit Hossa, Dats, Z or Franzen in favor of Leino or Applicator, there is still one stick- ice time.

Our 4th line has done well - doing their job to provide energy, at least. If I were Babs, the only person I would consider exchanging on that line is Kopy with Abby. Sammy on the other hand, has looked like total s***e. Replace him with Leino.

Our 4th line needs someone alongside Helm to throw hits and stir s*** up out there. Leino isn't going to be the guy to do it.

Like I said before, if Leino can't crack the top 3 lines, he shouldn't be on the team as of yet. We don't need a skilled Euro on the 4th line, unless his name is Igor Larionov in his final years in Detroit.

I want to see more energy guys that will come out hitting right off the bat, and not when we're down 2-0 midway through the 2nd period.

While I do agree Chelios is a liability, he did draw a penalty last game. Of course that doesn't make up for the damage he does during the rest of the game.

I wouldn't put Leino on the 4th line. Abdelkader should for sure be replacing Kopy - who lets face it in this series is a big waste of space.

I find it concerning that Babcock is saying he's not going to change lines at all. If you're doing something wrong, and you continue to do it the same way over and over again, it'll all still be wrong. I think the Anaheim defense have figured out how to effectively limit our offense - something needs to change to make them question their tactics. I'd start by juggling some lines. Who knows though? Babcocks going to wait until the last minute to reveal the team for tonight's game - which he should. It may all be part of a cunning plan...

Maybe all 5 were called up to give the rest of the team a kick up the ass.

I do not particularly think Babcock will put any of kid there into today's line up. The only thing that can be changed is our 3rd defensive pair, throw out Chellios from the line up and put any of them; idealically Kindl.

Leino, for sure, I want to watch him but putting him on the 4th line is absolutely dead wrong concept. Our 4th liner who can be replaced at this point is Kopecky and if I put Leino, I would scratch out Samuelsson from the third line and if it is working, I would put Abdelkader on Kopecky's spot. That is all I can think of now. Putting Leino on 4th line is not gonna work at all

I'm guessing if we lose we will definitely see some lineup changes, drastic ones. If we can squeak a win out, we might see a change depending on drapes and raffi. If it is a total blowout (like it should be) keep the lines.
