Manoir 70 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Oh well, he was too physical and hard working to fit into our system anyway. We don't really need guys of that mold on our 3rd line. The 3rd line is for finesse and puck possession, not 6'3 grinders and hard workers who are willing to get their noses dirty. Also, he can't score or skate, which is a must for any 3rd line player around the NHL. Don't know why any Wings fans should be upset about this. It's all good, guys. I like this post. Crymson, I think you are kind of hitting on the point I was trying to make. A couple of years ago, we were not like this here! I'd come short of saying this place has become similar to the Government of the USA, or have you, the Media of the USA. It's one against another, even if we are the same. WTF??? Think about it, it's brother VS brother here anymore. I am seeing petty little fights between posters in just about every thread that I open. It was NEVER like this. Now, I joined, I believe in 2004, but I was reading on here since 2002. I can honestly say this forum has changed. It's become just like Fox News and CNN. You have 2 sides arguing 2 different points of view (*most of which have NOTHING to do w/ the Topic at hand, or the Thread in other words) and instead of coming together or "Agreeing to Disagree" we'd rather spend a good 2-20 posts on our beliefs rather than whats at hand (the HOCKEY TOPIC). Who really wins??? Nobody, it's always going to be, "I'm right, You're Wrong." I tell ya what, if you got something on your mind post it in the Water Cooler, or the Political Discussion. I am sick of reading about this s***, and I know for a fact I am not the only one. We need to save this place, it's getting out of hand. If it comes down to it, I guess we (the ones who care and want this place to be the way it was, calm and collected-Education Hockey Fans Talking amonst one-another, not the "Oh, I got the bigger dick, you are wrong about your opinion so I must call you names on this board to hopefully discredit your knoweledge of hockey,,,,,,,,attitute." to come together and start reporting posts that are either, attacks on other posters' beliefs or opinions, or just harmful to everyone else reading them. We all should not have to read your opinions on a certian member of LGW. If you hate that person, report them. I feel this place is getting to be more Elementry. People are just looking at the long run, and how hard it is to wear other teams down without having checkers on the 3rd or 4th lines. People don't really have anything active to bash. Other posters seem to fit that bill quite well. That's why I steer clear of this place for the most part in the off season. It is a great place to check for 'up-to-the-minute-updates' on the team though. I find it best to just get the information and get out of dodge while I'm still in one piece.
