They should be booing Ken Holland... Hoss had a terrible play off run but you don't let a player like him slip through your fingers like that.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOLLAND!

Tell us more about how the process works in signing Hossa. Please, you seem to know quite a bit.

I understand why fans would be booing Hossa. He decided to leave Detroit for one of their rivals. What are the fans supposed to do, cheer every time he touches the puck?

Why or why not boo the guy?

To boo:

Did not resign in Detroit

s***ty post-season at best

Not to boo:

Talented player

Great regular season 2008/09 (40g)

Detroit fans dont have a whole lot on this guy. As for booing Holland? What in the hell? He tried his damnest to make it all fit into place I'm sure, and he didnt get it done, deal with it.

Booing Holland.. jesus h. clusterf*** you're out of your mind.

Edit: Add signed with archrivals to "To boo" list.

eassyy eassyy i think the guy was joking. another reason not to boo is that hossa wanted to stay.... we just didn't have the cap space. he also is a good guy and loved detroit.

People don't have to boo or cheer Hossa. If I was at the game I personally would not boo him, but if others did it would not bother me because I understand that emotions run high at games and if a player is no longer a Red Wing, fans may not like him anymore.

Hossa chose to leave no one forced him to. I am sure that the boos don't even bother him.

I really wish that Kane was the one getting the boos.

No reason to boo him. Had we not been so filled with stars, we'd have signed him in a heartbeat. With Lidstrom, Zata, Pavel, and Mule on the roster, it's hard to afford room for yet another star.

Hossa was a casualty of the salary cap, not a traitor who sold out.

Maybe. Though I can see where hes coming from with that one. Holland, unlike Mr. Hossa, has done wonders for the Red Wings. I think the offer to Hossa that would have been Cap friendly to the Wings was very similiar to what he actually went and signed for in Chikacko. Could be wrong but I recall them being fairly close to the same thing.

f*** him. He's a Blackhawk, last time I checked there our rivals, and there in our building. Him and Kopecky are getting a boo show, and it's frickin awesome. And to those saying Hossa will get the last laugh...... see 2009 Cup Final, looked worse then Leino at the Mellon, didnt even know he was playing.

Actually, I would think he would like it. I know I would. He knows they are booing because they wish he was still on the team. It would probably have bothered him more if there was no response at all.
