Deal is one-year, pro-rated $570,000 as rumored earlier today.
He'll be placed on waivers at 12 noon ET tomorrow. If no team puts in a waiver claim for him he will be a Red Wing officially at 12:01pm on Saturday.
Update (1/22 @ 12:02p): The New York Islanders have claimed Nabokov off waivers.

But I just don't see how he will clear waivers...

If he makes it to NY.. NJ could claim him first and then move him or Hedburg...I'd hate to be Nabby thinking that he's going to Detroit and then get claimed by the Islanders.
All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:
and finally
Holland is a damn good GM. period.

Money on the Board - 100 bucks on the base. From here on, one buck per puck IN goal, win or lose!
Total right now: $105.

Ozzie is worse off then was expected and they didn't want to say anything yet?No matter what, there was a point to this. We just may not find out the actual one until this offseason.

I'm sure he's well aware that a bottom feeder will be interested. Question is, can he turn down all other offers?

I made a joke about this in the other thread... "Hey Lou......... "Maybe Kenny worked out a deal with a bottom feeder?
Let's see what NJ does...

Yeah, what about all this from the player's point of view? How much clout and input does he get, if any?
