1.2M (if true) it's really not that bad, I would even say that's good/great contract for Detroit.

Right now, I feel as if Big E's & Patty's contracts should be swapped for each other. I seriously hope I don't feel the same way after those 3 years are up though.

Because he was severely underpaid last year... you could not be more off base here.Why is he getting almost twice what he made last year? Bad signing, Kenny.
Eaves is an incredibly versatile player and can fill multiple roles, great team guy, kills penalties - Eaves, Cleary, etc are the types of guys you NEED to win cups. period.
