Nyquist: I have been waiting for this day since I was a little kid.

DetroitRedWings Detroit Red Wings

Nyquist: I am super excited to have been given the opportunity here. Now I've got to show them what I can do.

I think it's safe to say he will play a ton of energy :yowza::hehe:

And the Jiri Hudler watch continues. How many times have they been down this road with him?

I'm not going to predict anything because they really should have won at least one of the last four (Minny, Columbus were winnable). But if there is a loss here, they're going to have do to a bit more to change things up than scratch the whipping boy.

I hate playing against Minnesota, aka The Most Boring Team In The NHL, and I hate it even more since it seems like the coach has told Josh Harding he has one job to do this season and that is to make life miserable for the Red Wings.

We need to score 6 or 7 goals on him to crush his confidence.

But, that's not possible against Minnesotraps.

So I'll go with a 2-1 OT win, Nyquist with 1+1 to cement his position as "Saviour of Detroit".
