OK, let's celebrate Kronwall's big contract with every player showing up big and a signature Detroit Red Wings win.

Sorry I couldn't get the new subs in for the gdt. I JUST got home from school and practice so I wasn't able to get to a computer.

Nyquist's first NHL game. Can't wait to see him in action, he impressed me in preseason.

Its been 11 days since the Wings played a game so they should come out nice and rested. Let's Go Wings. That is all.

Let's hope they're rested and not rusty. 3-2 Wings.

Nyquist: I have been waiting for this day since I was a little kid.

Nyquist: I am super excited to have been given the opportunity here. Now I've got to show them what I can do.

I think it's safe to say he will play a ton of energy :yowza::hehe:

Here we go:

DetroitRedWings Detroit Red Wings

Commodore, Emmerton and Hudler are your scratches. Nyquist will play on a line with Bertuzzi and Franzen.

This is the line he played on in the last preseason game where he scored 2 goals

And the Jiri Hudler watch continues. How many times have they been down this road with him?

I'm not going to predict anything because they really should have won at least one of the last four (Minny, Columbus were winnable). But if there is a loss here, they're going to have do to a bit more to change things up than scratch the whipping boy.

Thanks Mike!

We HAVE to win tonight. I'll be watching and here eventually.

Go Wings!!

So why is commy not getting a chance to play?

Maybe a little more time to get the strength back?

I hate playing against Minnesota, aka The Most Boring Team In The NHL, and I hate it even more since it seems like the coach has told Josh Harding he has one job to do this season and that is to make life miserable for the Red Wings.

We need to score 6 or 7 goals on him to crush his confidence.

But, that's not possible against Minnesotraps.

So I'll go with a 2-1 OT win, Nyquist with 1+1 to cement his position as "Saviour of Detroit".
