Spent a lot of time injured for the Blues last season. Just what we need - another addition to the Zombie line.
How the f*** did it come to this? "There's lots of opportunity for young guys to take a step up and improve their game. But if they don't, rest assured that we've got no other options". Awesome.
This is Ken Holland's idea of reinforcements? Kent Huskins? I'm speechless...
this is a joke right? At least chose Vandermeer instead of this guy, Jesus "veteran defenseman" and working on the phone for hours.......don't make us believe and then drop the damn ball /me = pissed
Holland doesn't like guys who stick up for their teammates and play a physical brand of hockey.
Just be happy we actually signed Tootoo, but any more grit and Holland wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
He's a better option then Vandermeer, why?
this tells me that Kenny has a trade lined up
Kent Huskins for Brett Lebda.
My thought as well. Likely Vandermeer couldn't make it by tonight, but IMO he would have been a better option for the season.
What gives you this idea?
you're pissed because we signed a 6/7 th DMan to replace a 6/7th DMan? Hrmmmm.
I am pissed because:
1. veteran defenseman
2. working on the phone for hours
two words that to me only should have had one answer..........5........
How can you be 6'4 and only weigh 205?
If I was the Red Wings GM they would win the Stanley Cup every year.
Maybe he's from the Sudan?
A lot of basketball players are like that.
I'm going to go ahead and guess that Huskins will be paired with Smith. Babcock will break apart the horrible pairing of Smith and Quincey. Smith goes with Huskins, who is a more stay at home defensemen. Smith is the poise puck mover, Huskins should be back for him being mistake prone. Lashoff will probably pair with Kronner, and then White will run with Quincey. I like those pairings A LOT more than what we've been working with.
There was a time when it seemed like Holland was always 100 steps ahead of everyone, always looking way into the future. These days, he seems to work on a "day-to-day" basis.
Not complaining about this signing. It's just, I keep waiting for that ah-ha! moment...
"It's all so clear now! This is what he's been working towards! Genius!"
I agree with this.
It's actually not as bad as it sounds.
I did see somewhere today that the Red Wings were still looking to trade for Franson, but I can't confirm that report.
Lashoff, for example, is 6'3 and 210-ish.
10 negative or sarcastic
yup. Welcome to LGW
Listed as 210-ish. The Griffins' press release as of yesterday says he's 225 lbs.
