  1. 1. Pass, or Fail?

    • Pass! Clean and classic, will look sharp on the ice!
    • Fail! Dull and unimaginative, blatant rip off of Team Canada!

Some of the "highlights" about the uniform, from Puck Daddy...

To both sweaters:

  • There is a smaller, lighter crest on both sweaters. The logo outline was changed from metallic to matte silver finish.
  • The warning flag pattern was moved from the base of the sweater to inside the neckline. (Similar to Nashville's "Piano Keys" neckline)
  • Lettering and numbering changed to a clean, round, sans-serif-based font.
  • The shoulder patches were removed from both sweaters.
To the red sweater:
  • A cleaner look was established, highlighting the teams dominant color. All striping is white, with black being used in the neckline and to outline letters and numbers.
  • Bold white stripes highlight the arms and base for a classic look.
  • White lacing is used on the black collar.
To the white sweater:
  • A red shoulder yoke was established, which extends on the back to include the nameplate. The feature is unique in the NHL.
  • Numbers and letters were changed from red with a black outline to black with a silver outline.
  • Bold striping to establish a classic look.
To the pants and gloves:
  • The Hurricanes logo and bottom black band were removed from the pants.
  • All glove sets are predominantly red with small white highlights. Black and silver has been removed.

IMO, these jerseys SCREAM "Team Canada". What say you? Pass or Fail?

Did anyone notice the bottom hand is on the stick backwards?

They do look a lot like Canada's jerseys, but they're really cool

Not backwards. Faceoff style.

To me the Hurricanes are kind of like toast.

Its hard to feel strongly one way or the other about them.

I guess these are better than their previous ones, but mostly I don't care what the Canes jersey looks like.

They look like the Phoenix jerseys. And with them dropping the black from the gloves they now have Red Wings style gloves.

Nothing unique about these jerseys. Sad.

I saw this link on NHL.com today, I clicked it, then I remembered I didn't care.

I don't think it can be much of a ripoff of Team Canada's jersey, it's not like they are very imaginative to begin with. Had I not known, I would have never guessed they changed anything.

The color scheme is fine, so is the design. The logo looks too high up on the chest though, it kinda bugs me

Then ugly "rose" logo has never done it for me. And there's too many teams in the league who wear red and white.

I can't believe this is the same franchise that once donned those green beauties I posted a picture of above. :glare:

Vancouver already lifted this scheme a while ago.

I've said this for a long long time. The Canes should use their secondary logo as their main. That thing is sweet. It has potential to be even better if redesigned. The color scheme of the new jerseys is classic. It's good to see them turn away from the weirdo Coyotes border thing. This is way more classic hockey.

It rotates the bicep so that you can see the numbers on the shoulder.

The jersey set is kinda bland in my opinion...I really dislike the home red socks stripe pattern and then a complete different pattern on the away white uniform.

I like the Dallas sweaters better than the Carolina ones, but to be honest they both look like something you'd make up if you were creating your own team on some hockey video game...and you were 13 years old.

Dallas made so much noise about going back to the green color and then they use black pants. Let it go and use the old green pants.

And heres the stars which i dislike:
