It feels like forever since the Wings have been on top in a conference, but it's probably only been four years. But in true Wings fan fashion I won't be totally happy until we catch up with Anaheim. I know if your #1s good Togo, you generally play him. But I don't want him getting back in the sway of things against Pittsburgh. Glendening hurt his feelings jawing at him, so he took a dumb penalty and responded to hecklers from the box. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 8, 2015 The NHL likes screwing with the Wings, so we're off until Wednesday. February 18-28, the Wings have all away games. Anyway, three days off may not be such a bad thing. Just because the Wings are not scheduled for a game doesn't mean they won't be working. I expect to see Jimmy back in the nets Wednesday. He wants to win just as bad as anyone, and I bet he's been working his butt off to get back. Monster's doing well in GR, so he's likely to back up Jimmy - and Mraz, much as I love him, will be headed back to thrill Griffs fans. I think I'd be a bit of a hypocrite if I embraced Chris Chelios and Kirk Maltby, but hated on Doan for not being a Lady Byng Finalist. I like Doan as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure we "need" a 38 year old for any reason. Let alone to " put fire in our bellies". We look plenty fired up to me.
