kipwinger 8,529 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 Back in 2010-2011 I'd have been fine with signing Ehrhoff with a top four spot in mind. But I'd be really reluctant to now. He's not been great over the last few seasons. Ultimately it's in the scouting staff's hands, but I'm generally worried that he's on the decline. 1 e_prime reacted to this

I used to be very high on the Wings getting Ehrhoff. His two years in Vancouver put his value at an all time high and he signed that monster contract with Buffalo... Where he went on to... rot? Seriously. 32 points in 66 games in 2011-12 22 points in the shortened '12-'13 campaign. 33 points in 79 games in '13-14 14 points in 49 games last year (injury plagued) Not to say he couldn't have a bounce back year... I mean, he didn't even get a real opportunity with PIT last year with his injuries. ...but is that what we'd be looking forward to? I don't know whether he's worth it. Also... He's a lefty. krsmith17 7,191 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 I think every coach would prefer to have three lefty / righty pairings. The problem is, there are more left handed shooters in the league than rights. I think it's something close on 70% for lefties over righties...

nyqvististhefuture 1,002 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 Tsn free agency special started and they talked about tarasenko possibly getting an offer sheet 0% chance it happens but man if we could add him to the team , we can then trade a mantha/nyquist in a blockbuster deal for a good top dman End of the day he's just to good for the blues to let walk away
e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) Sportsnet free agent tracker shows Karri Ramo resigned in Calgary 1 year for $3.9 million, but when you click on the link for details. amato 3,210 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 I could see tarasenko signing an offer sheet.... That would immediately get matched by the blues
dragonballgtz 273 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 I really hope Nyquist doesn't get an offer sheet. Holland needs to sing him now before some GM thinks he can take him away from us. 1 amato reacted to this

kipwinger 8,529 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 1 way AHL contract for Miele? Yes. I like this move. Keeping GR competitive (with veteran players) has a HUGE, and understated, impact on the development of our prospects. I love having guys in GR who work hard, and win, even if they'll never get a call up. Their influence on the young guys cannot be overstated. 2 e_prime and amato reacted to this
amato 3,210 Report post Posted July 1, 2015 Good for Andy. I saw the griffins play a couple times last year and he looked pretty solid. I don't think he'll crack the line up next year (certainly not full time), but he could mentor the younger kids in GR. All in all, a well deserved raise.
