chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted January 12, 2016 For those who are saying Holland is faking an injury on a player to make cap space, I doubt he'd pick Miller over Andersson. Lol
e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted January 12, 2016 Hey. If the league and refs are constantly conspiring against us, why is the turnabout not fair play? Also, you're not cheating the cap unless you get caught cheating the cap. 3 TheXym, PavelValerievichDatsyuk and kickazz reacted to this

e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Coincidence? No. Correlation is the correct answer. ...but hey, he's just an over the hill worthless scrub, right? Oh... and this. I am very sad for our Drew. What a miserable season for one of my very favorite Wings. Get better soon... Ouch. A past girlfriend of mine had that surgery and her knee was never the same. She had a lot of pain from it and it was years after the surgery. We used to run a lot and the doctor told her that she should stop. But then we ran a marathon together so maybe it's not that debilitating.

Kudos to your girlfriend though for doing a marathon after that type of injury! I have high hopes for Miller, when you have a team dedicated to rehabbing you, and your "9-5" is getting that knee better its alot easier to recover then the average Jane/Joe. It would suck to lose him for the playoffs, we need that type of guy against teams with a high level PP. I would hate to face a Washington or Boston without him. 1 PavelValerievichDatsyuk reacted to this
Bill Berzeench 310 Report post Posted January 14, 2016 http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/mobileart.asp?articlekey=103662&page=9 Miller wont be out too long. 4 weeks.
NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted January 14, 2016 (edited) let us not forget these are high performance athletes we are talking about, for a regular person to undergo these kind of injuries, surgeries and healing processes is harder than to a professional player and Drew is as strong of a player as they come, I reiterate he's gonna end up more machine than man. So best of luck on all that's to come in Drew's way and hope to see him well and hopefully back on the ice soon. jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) After he got hurt and our penalty kill dropped, anyone who says he isn't important to our team, or that he can be easily replaced needs to have their heads examined. Dudes a warrior too, I thought he'd be blind after that skate to the face last season. save some for the playoffs haha Ha.Yep, I've got two left... I'll also have to learn to be much more specific with the wishes. TheXym 2,606 Report post Posted January 17, 2016 Very true, Jimmy. The Drew is definitely a warrior. That skate to the face situation was some scary stuff. I remember watching the Clint Malarchuk injury when I was a kid and I had a flashback to that when Drew suffered that injury.
jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted January 17, 2016 I was born in 89, so I didn't see it live, but that had to have been terrifying. I didn't realize how important drew was to our team till this year.
TheXym 2,606 Report post Posted January 17, 2016 I was born at the end of 71, so I was pretty young when it happened, but I remember it very clearly. As far as the importantance of Drew, I think in many ways that the meat and potatoes guys, the PKers, grinders, third pair D often get overlooked since the eyes are drawn to the superstars and flashier players or goalies. 1 NerveDamage reacted to this

I remember watching the Clint Malarchuk injury when I was a kid and I had a flashback to that when Drew suffered that injury. Ya, the Malarchuk incident was crazy. Skate to the throat, then you seem whip his mask off on his knees and put his hand on his throat and it's just pouring blood. Thankfully for the quick action my the medics and doctors, he lived. Haven't seen anything like it since. After I saw that I started wearing a throat protector and a dangler on my mask.
