GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 I wouldn't trust Kronwall to flush the toilet properly. And Nielsen needs to freeze the puck there instead of trying to make a quick pass to Kronwall in front of the net. 1 chaps80 reacted to this

GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 Bernier looked like he was taking a dump there. If this team really wants to tank, they need to make Bernier the full time starter. 1 chaps80 reacted to this

chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 And that's why Bernier is no longer a Leaf. He was sort of part of the Andersen trade in two separate deals. Detroit is his third team in three seasons. And they have him locked up for two more!!
barabbas16 499 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 .792 save percentage for the game for Bernier. I remember reading about how his contract was such a good deal for the Red Wings at the beginning of the year. Looks more like a ripoff at this point. 1 chaps80 reacted to this
Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted December 24, 2018 Disappointing result, for sure. But the Wings played a hell of a game against a fully healthy Leafs team. Hard to be too upset about it. 3 krsmith17, chaps80 and puckloo39 reacted to this

I did expect better out of him... Yes, I hope that he is able to pull himself together. Right now he ranks about 55th out of 60 NHL goaltenders in SV% and GAA.... On the positive side, his shootout SV% is pretty solid. Unfortunately, the Wings didn't get to the shootout tonight because he let in that stinker. He's a classic accumulator statistically, but he's had a pretty good career. He also has a real chance of breaking Gordie Howe's games played record. He hasn't missed a game in like 9 seasons. It all depends on how long he wants to play. 1 Dabura reacted to this

Their overloaded up front, D is half assed. They need a guy like Andersen. I would have kept MCIllenney over Sparks, but they had to choose and Mac isn't getting any younger.
