yeah. he was sent down. cuz he wasn't NHL ready.

He was pro-ready and that's the rub... guys that are ready for the next challenge shouldn't be hamstrung by an antiquated agreement that no longer makes sense...  this is why the USHL, College, etc are growing in popularity.

Most SHL teams have a strong incentive not to invest in North American talent unless the player is going to be around a while. In that league each team is only allowed a few non-Swedish players so they use those spots wisely, rarely taking a North American skater unless they're willing to sign a couple year deal. Many people don't know this because during the pandemic guys like Rasmussen, Veleno, Seider, Zadina, all played in Euro leagues. That was the exception and I think in most of those cases the leagues waived those contract limits in order to showcase their leagues using really high end NHL prospects.

Thanks for the explanation, makes sense.

Seems like a nice kid who hopefully will use the year to show he's worked on whatever improvements to his game the Wings have asked.

Rasmussen was sent down to GR once he was able to be. He was not NHL ready. He just didn't need to be back in juniors.

After watching how this team (centers in particular) plays stylistically - relentless puck pursuit, speed through the neutral zone, fighting and winning puck battles for every loose puck, and total commitment defensively - is there any doubt Marco Kasper is going to be fine?

To give credit to the best 2C in the league - Larkin can gain the zone with possesion better than almost anyone in the league. Kane sees this and wants to play with Dcat-Larkin because of it.

Happy to see that Crusade Hanas was traded to the Seattle Thunderbirds recently. It's his draft year and the Tbirds are very good. It would be cool if we can draft him and have two brother pairs going in Liam and Noah Dower-Nilsson and Cross and Crusade Hanas.

Atheist neck beards @kipwinger and @The 91 of Ryans please keep your sperging to a minimum. Hockey is for everyone.
