We'd gain more salary, but it has term. Veleno has arbitration rights this off season, do you want to pay him $3M+ or have Zergas already signed for 2 more, albeit at $5.75M, Detroit could absorb that. Holl to ride the bench for $3.25M or Gudas in top 4 for $4M? Disgruntled Berggren, or Vetrano with one more year @ $2.45M? Trade Fabbri in the offseason, or even buy him out to make more salary/roster room. Re-sign all of Sprong, Kane, Fischer and Perron. I saw somewhere (I will try to find the article) talking about Bogosian being an option, He's a former Lightning, not sure if he was there with Yzerman or not though (without looking it up.) Is he a better option than Petry or Holl? He could probably be had for a pick. I hope Yzerman trades Holl, not that he is bad, but he is just taking up space after being pushed out of the lineup. He's probably wanting to go somewhere also, so he could actually play. Edmonton depth? Could get a pick from Holland. We have Seider to take care of first. If we want him, I'd just try to sign him in July. But I think he is going to get too much for what his talent actually warrants. If I give up Berggren and a 1st, I want someone with some term left. Another "just for fun" trade: to OTT : Berggren, 2025 1st (protected), 2026 2nd to DET : Chychrun, Tarasenko (not getting #91 though, unless Fedorov approves) (speaking of #91 (for another thread) but I still see Yzerman trying to sign Stamkos in July.) Hardworking DFD. Playing #1 minutes for SJS (cause trash roster), but would play 2nd pair here. Hes 25 and locked into an affordable contract for a few years.
